I have contacted Madog several times with the same type of request. He does not want to turn this into a business venture. These mods are strictly creative play time for him, that is why they are open source.

I am soldering challenged too. I have however had some success with projects that allow more space like Jaax's juice Box. You might try that one, it leaves space for a bigger switch, which means easier soldering to it - this is the sticky part for me.

Posted this elsewhere but thought I would put it here also to just keep things in the same spot -

YOU CAN use just one CR123 bat in a Magnum just find a piece of dowel that fits loosely in the pvc pipe cut it to 1/2 the length of a CR2 bat and wrap in tin/alum. foil and use as a spacer it works best on the plus side of the cr123 (because of the bump up) between the battery and the spring on the printed circuit board. You can also use two thumb tacks on each end of the spacer and run a wire to each one of them. You can also just stretch out the springs but they are pretty much maxed out with just one CR123 bat.

Madog,

I'm really interested in atomizer longevity. You said you'd been using the same atomizer on your Magnum for 2 months with no cleaning -- I'd be interested to know, to what do you attribute that long atomizer life? Do you think the higher voltage produces a "cleaner" burn that leaves less residue?

Madog plz report on the Atomizers health. Do you use this Atomizer every day if so is it your primery e-cig / e-mod??

Well on the 20th it will be 4 months and yah I use it a bit I vape between 1.5 - 2 ml per day - I do NOT clean it ever. When I fill the cart I also add a drip on the atomizer - If I look at the atomizer with the cart out and then push the power button I see NO red glow from the filament - IF I do I add another drop of juice - this is what i mean when I say run it WET :)

Found a better option for a spacer for those who might want to use the cr123a batteries instead of the cr2. DealExtreme: $7.34 Super Strong Rare-Earth RE Magnets (10mm x 1mm / 100-Pack)
On another note, 4 months on one atomizer! You think the extra voltage of 2 cr2 batteries has anything to do with that? And one more question (I swear last one!) What size PVC do I use for the cr123a batteries? I had some sch40 1/2" pipe lying around and it doesn't seem to fit right.

Having trouble figuring out the switch. Not the one on the bottom. Is the tactile switch a push button ?
Where can I find one of these ?

you can find them easily at radio shack....

just ask them where the tactile switches are and pick which one you like... i believe momentary switches work just as well... make sure when you are looking through them that you are getting NON on/off switches
