i FINALLY got my 800 MAH cr2 batteries in from DX...

I'm ordering my parts exactly how Maddog posted in the very first post. My dads gonna help me put it together. Thanks for the post Maddog, I'll be posting back to let yall know how it goes.
my advice is to dollow what madog put in the directions dilligently.. the only change i would suggest whatsoever is it MAY be easier to do the soldering OUTSIDE the flashlight and then stuff it in there.. haven't tried it yet but will be doing so on my second one
Thanks for the tip tauk, I will remember that. Ordering parts on friday, DX even has free shipping on the items!! I'm excited! If this works, seems like all I hafta do is buy atomizers and juice. Already refill my own carts as it is.
word of warning.. DX can take forever sometimes...
i ordered only my batteries and charger from them when i made my mod... i ordered them on Feb 14th... i FINALLT recieved them the other day.. batteries first.. then the charger a couple days later...
you'd be well advised to find the flashlight on your own... they are relatively cheap flashlights.. i just spotted a deal on them at advanced auto the other day 2 for $5
once you make the mod.. they dont work NEARLY as well.. but you CAN use rechargeable AAA batteries with the battery pack until your cr2s arrive next month hehehe

CR2 charger plus 4 batteries for $14.00 shipped (free shipping). As far as the flashlight though, what are the specs? Does it have to be a 3.5'', does it have to be LED? If I order the charger and batteries, I figure they might take the same or less ship time than DX. This order would be shipped from Hong Kong, so ship times bad anyways! I figure I can find another 3.5 flashlight at Walmart to work with.

shipping times from china are not necessarily bad.. the problem i had with DX is they took 10 days to even ship my stuff in the first place...
as far as the batteries go.. according to madog they are suppossed to be 1000 MAH... i thought that was what i ordered but i recieved 800 MAH and they actually still work just fine.. seeing as you're going to have to wait on those batts... i wouldn't experiment with lower mah ratings...
the flashlight itself.. the reasoning behind using the LED flashlight is the use of the circuit board the leds are attached to... TECHNICALLY.. you COULD use anything to make this mod... you could even go to home depot or so and grab a piece of pipe and an endcap and wing it from there... the main advice on the flashlight is go cheap.. which most 9 led versions are.. and whatever you do.. dont grab the cool rubberized looking one... it's actually plastic and has a lip over the lens that you wont be able to bypass unless you break it

Can I use any 9-led flashlight? I'm hoping I might find something more aesthetically lowkey thana red or blue case, no offense Maddog! But thats not the big point, the big point is functionality!

Walmart has one made by Garrity that comes in black and costs somewhere between 5 and 10 bucks. They usually keep it in the impulse buy area near the only register where they sell tobacco. It was conspicuously missing from the selection in sporting goods (where the led flashlights are all 20 bucks or more).
why put the $5 one with the $20 ones... someone might actually pass the $20 ones over

any 9 led should be fine... just look it over carefully... that plastic rubberized looking one with the lip really is a piece of work to bypass the lip
