I just started vaping and decided to give it a go mixing my own e juice. I have bought some VG and some PG. I tried different types of mixes starting with 70% VG 30% PG but got no vapor so I tried a 50/50 mix and still nothing. I want to make it without nicotine at first as I don't have any yet and im not using any flavour yet as the only ones I can get right now are oil based. So I have just been using PG and VG. I've tried it with and without distilled water, I've tried 100% PG and 100% VG. The 100 % PG has a little vapor but the 100 % VG has none, even when mixed with distilled water. Like I say im very new to this but really need some help.

I agree with the fellows above...

When my sister comes over and tries some of my attys, she always states that there's something wrong with them as there's almost no vapor comming out, lol :)

People new to vaping, suck hard and fast in a hard quick pull, like with a cig, and the coil haven't even gotten ramped up yet and/or it's because the airflow is looser than they're used too...

To the OP, then press the fire-button a half to full second before you actually take the draw, and then draw at a steady phase and lightly for how many seconds you preffer...

That the OP got better resuts with pg, is most likelly that it evaporates faster, as it's got a lower boiling point than vg...

Hmm, and you are absolutelly sure that you're using the same afc setting as with your store bought juice? The subtank mini is a pretty airy tank when wide open, and so e.g. mouth to lounge wouldn't really work well like that... If that's the case, then sorry, I _really_ don't get it...

No matter what grade the vg is, then it should be able to make vapor!

Just went back to the ingredients store where I bought the VG and there was a guy who worked there who makes his own e liquid, he told me that the one I bought is no good for vaping. He pointed me in the right direction to a vaping store that sells diy mix kits. Can get 500ml VG , 500ml PG 50ml nicotine and two different flavours for around $40 usd. He said I can make about 30 bottles at 30ml for this. Im going to get some soon.

Ok, so now I got plenty of vapor but not much flavour. Im using flavourings from the ingredients shop used for cooking. Should I let it steep for a few days or should I buy some proper e juice flavours?

Please spend some time researching on this forum. Those flavoring are probably not meant for ecig use and could be dangerous for your health. The vg you originally bought could potentially not be for human consumption as well. There are certain types of VG that are extremely poisonous to humans. Don't risk your life just trying to save a few bucks.

Wizardlabs and bull city vapor are good for supplies you need. When youre ready to invest more essential depot sells bulk VG/pg for a Much better price.
