This is almost comical. I suffer from high blood pressure. Chances are anyone my age who smoke suffers from it. Anyway, he comes into the room and he mentions my pressure is down--way down: 99 over forty-nine.
I then go about explaining I'm on the E-cig. He's never heard of it so I get it out and show it off.
His facial expression is stuck in awe. I have two with me and he wants to hold one while I give details. Then I put it in my mouth and take a drag. I can't describe the look on his face as I exhale.
I printed out some material to give to to him. He reads as I explain the FDA is trying to ban them. He's a bit flabbergasted over that.
He lowered my meds and I tell him I haven't used an inhaler since I started the e-cig.
When I told him I'd stocked up to weather the storm for a few years, he was totally happy.
Then I get ready to leave and he wants me to wait while he gets the other doctor in the building and I get to demonstrate it again.
Maybe if you haven’t yet, you need to visit your doctor’s office and make sure they know about these things. Take the comparison with you because we need them in our corner.

I had my last Dr. appointment a few days before my first starter kit arrived ( I have high bp and early COPD). I mentioned to the Dr. that I was going to try using the e-cig to quit smoking and I got a puzzled look because the Dr. had not heard of them. I did a quick explanation and since I'm going back the first of Oct, the Dr. is very intersting in seeing one and of course wants to know about my success. After the first few days, I haven't quit analogs completely yet, but my breathing is so much better already and really looking forward to getting the Lung Renewal juice from Drew at Nhaler. Each time we can spread the word to our Drs. and show success stories, we can affect the lives of dozens of people.

I can't wait for my 901 starter kit and the free (9.95 shipping) sample PV that Smoking Everywhere is shipping out to arrive.

High Blood Pressure.......Away with you! Also, I hope....lung allergies and an hour of coughing in the mornings.

If the FDA does ban these (I think they will) won't everyone just go underground??

I showed my 510 to a local doctor here and asked him what he thought about it, and he said that he's read about these things, but we don't know what it is in cigarettes that causes cancer, whether it's nicotine or something else. What a load of BS. I must point out, however, that Georgia isn't known for the competence of its professionals...

I took in my 510 to my doctors appointment this week and my doctor wanted more information. We had discussed me quitting smoking and ways to do it Chantrix was not an option whatsoever because of interactions with medications I am already on.

I gave her the forum information and where I bought mine from she told me that she will be suggesting this pending further research by her to other patients who have a hard time quitting.

I almost can't wait to see my Doctor! He is militant about not smoking and every appointment I have with him I get the same lecture. I've been off analogs over 2 months now and at age 51, I feel better than I did at 30. Can't wait to show my Doc...he's a good guy, I think he'll be open minded.
Let him examine you first, then when he's all puzzled and amazed scratching his head, pull out your PV and hand him some printouts. He won't be able to argue with evidence he himself witnessed. 2 months without analogs will show a "head snapping" amount of improvement! Oh I so want to be there to see his face.;)
