my dragons blood experiment needs work

so i whipped up some dragons blood and it seems a bit harsh. the creams dont come through as well as i expected. its only thirty hours old. but i still think it should be better than it is. maybe someone could help me tweak things a bit

50/50 18mg
dragonfruit tfa 10%
strawberry tfa 3%
bav cream tfa 2%
swt cream tfa 1%
Ethy Maltol 1% (1gm/10ml pg)

should i just let it steep a bit longer? add in more em? some of the recipes around have vannilin in it. should i get some of that?
i dont mind saying im a bit of a noob.

on a side note. my mountain dew is totally on point.

Cream flavors take about a week to come to perfection. Don't make any changes to it yet, or just draw off 1 ml of it and make tweaks to that. I haven't tasted Dragon's Blood, but this recipe sounds yummy!

thx for the info on the creams. and yummy.... is what i am looking for. lol.
if after this next warm up, and 24 hours steep, i dont notice any improvement... i think i will pull some out and do some tweaking.

I agree let it steep for a couple of weeks.

I would get some TFA Vanilla Swirl over Vanillin.

i thought i had it. but didnt. i put in an order with tfa yesterday. so should ship wednesday and be here early next week.

in all honsety. i have 300 mils of this stuff. i need it to work out. the good news is... i have lots of room to tweak and play around with.

Creams need time to steep. So give it at least a week or more. I'm sure the harshness will mellow. What you can do in the mean time is mix a batch of just your base and vape it with no flavor in it to see if that may be causing the harshness. Also did you taste each flavor individually before trying combinations. That's the first cardinal rule of mixing (Know the taste of each flavor your working with).

The Dragon Fruit percentages are quite varied in the first thread - but 6% is what's used in the 2nd. TFA's Dragon Fruit is very harsh/intense/acrid (like their Pineapple). Even mixed with other flavors, anything over 6% seems 'harshly flavored' to us.

that clone recipe in the first link is the one i went with. i cut back on the strawberry a touch because others did. i definitely agree with the max 6% deal after tasting the mix. once the vanilla swirl and vanillin comes in i will most assuredly be remixing things. thanks a ton for the adv link. definitely gives me something to shoot towards.

I agree on lowering the Dragonfruit percentage. I used it at 10% in another recipe and it was WAY too much. I think this will be a great recipe, so please keep us posted!

well... bit of a nightmare. i turned on the stove and fell asleep a few days ago. total meltdown. lost 1800 ml of juice.

ill chalk it up to beginner blunders.

hint: dont add water to hot juice in order to cool it down. its about 100 times worse than dding water to hot fry oil.
