My e liquid taste terrible

Hi every body,
So i joined here to find out what's my fault on DYIing my own e-liquid, it tastes really bad, like a burned sugar or even worst.
The bad tast sticks with the tank and coils even after filling the tank with different e-liquid!

Please I'm looking for your advice

Im using this vg:

What gear are you using? What battery device, what mode are you operating it in? (watts or temp control)
What juice delivery device are you using? What type of coils (factory or homemade; kanthal/stainless steel/nickle wire)

What power setting are you using with the battery device? What is the resistance (ohms) of the coils? What wick material are you using if you're not using factory-made coils?

Did you follow a recipe with the flavors, or just added drops to the Pg/Vg? Are you using nicotine?

The Now solutions VG is food grade, I'd only us USP.
Food grade can give off weird funky tastes and is not recommended for vaping use, soap okay, vape, no.
What % flavorings are you using?
Too much is much worse than not enough.

I'm afraid that I'm kinda noob to have answers for all of the above questions but ima try anyways:

I'm using Wesmic RX2/3
Battery: Genuine LG HGZ 3000mAh 20A
Coils: cleito stainless steel (0.4 ohms)
Power setting:. 40 w

My flavoring % was like15-18%

That might be the issue. You probably want to find a recipe that uses the flavors that you have. There's a DIY flavoring section on this forum here: DIY E-Liquid

The food grade Vg might also be the culprit. Like Topwater said, you want USP grade.

15% - 18% is about double too much for my taste.

So your DIY e juice taste horrific huh ? Join the club , i have been DIYing for about two years now and i still must force myself to sample it , brutal stuff i mean really really bad but still working on it.

Using the super strength flavourings at such high percentages might be your main problem. 2-3 % for some of those may be the upper limit.

Small batch, trial and error is the only way to feel it out.

I use about 8-10% flavoring in my juice. Some flavorings are more concentrated so you may only need ~5%.

Remember you can always add flavoring but it's hard to dilute it if you have too much.

Finding some already tried and true recipes to work with may help. I have never had much luck making my own recipes (really haven't been at it that long), but I can follow a recipe with great results.

Get a scale and mix by weight, at first using well rated recipes created by others. After you get a little experience you can start altering and creating your own recipes. If you YouTube DIY juice for beginners you'll find some excellent tutorials to get you heading in the right direction, in addition to the DIY section here at ecf. I'm pretty new to mixing also but I've found some delicious recipes and so many more I want to try.

I'm sorry, I can't help you there. In the US we can still currently get nicotine but the FDA is trying to change that. There is an Arabic forum here on ecf, maybe someone there will have more experience on the subject.
