There are very few people that have actually tried to mod an eGo battery. I know it's been done and I'm curious but, I can't find any threads. I'd love to see a link. That's a hint, if you know where to find one. :)

It is an unfortunate fact that you can't just run to the store for these like you can with cigarettes. You need extra batteries, atomizers, juice, chargers, etc. You never know when something's goin to die on you.

Sometimes my battery buttons act up on my Riva 510. I take a cotton ball with some alcohol and clean around the button. It seems as if the button could get sticky from the juices.

Did you check to make sure there is no liquid in the threaded end, in the groove around the pole? That can make a battery seem flaky. And get 5 non-spam posts/replies in New Members then wait an hour. After that you should be able to ask in the Modders section "Battery Mods" or I think there may be a troubleshooting section of ECF

And when you buy a new battery I suggest Liberty-Flights.com where they have a warranty their batteries (they have a .com USA shop and a .co.uk UK shop).

the mofset probably died....the board that makes it work.....there have been some that have replaced them (not many) but you will be waiting for the part and your replacement will be there sooner.....

Geez....any "corner markets" where you can pick up a disposable to get you by ?

Do you by chance have other PVs that maybe you could rig up a box mod with (to use the connector) ?

I have had wretched luck with my Ego's: 8 total failure, two so serious that I had to toss them into a sand bucket when they started to smoke.

Look, Li Ion batteries will fail to begin with and can be recharged about 300 times-less than a year's worth of use. Add to that the regulated circuitry to a sealed unit, and one is up the creek without the proverbial paddle when one dies on you since there are not many people out there who have the skill and knowhow to replace parts should one die (assuming you could get the pcb and battery, which I think are proprietary).

Only at $15-$25 a pop, depending on size and vendor, it gets to be expensive. I can get almost any battery shipped from DealExtreme for less than $4.

There are plenty of small compact mods out there such as the ePower and Icon with replaceable batteries and switches. Besides, 3.2 v is lame which is what most Ego's are regulated to (there are some exceptions).

Yoni,

Did it work?

Are you happily vaping now or banning your head against the wall?

im sadly smoking an marlboro red :p
nah just kidding haha banning my head on the wall is more correct the botton cant turn to much

......sigh...hope it worked !!

=:(

BTW 7-11 sells cheap e cig kits (really cheap. like $20) with carts and a lil holder (looks like a cig pack). That should get you by until your new ego arrives! Hope that helps!! :)

i live in israel T_T no 7-11 here no e-cigs here
