Hi guys,

I am a new eGo-T user, but the thing leaks a storm. The viscous liquid gets in the breather channels, then into my mouth. It seeps out between the battery and atomizer.

I like the thing, but I want something that does not leak, because frankly it's turning me off e-Cigs at a moment when I really need to quit the analogs.

Can someone suggest a fix? A new part to order? A new setup? I want easy, clean, copious vapor.

I used one for a month and had the same problem. My only advice to you is to get some cartomizers the boge 2.0, this is far less of a head ache. You already have the batteries so you don't need a new kit just some cartomizers...Trust me you wont regret it, just remember a cartomizer will go out every 3 or 4 days maybe even longer just depends so get a few matbe just 5 to try if you like buy more.

make sure after you fill the tank and insert it that it is pushed all the way in, sometimes when you go to insert your tank there is a space left between the tank and the atomizer, you should here a little click or feel a little pop when its inserted properly, you can also tell by looking where the tank goes in to see if there is a space there when you insert it, this is the most common cause for leaks, if this does not help you can send me a private message through this site and I will help you figure your problem out, I have had alot of experience with the ego-t, Hope this helps:evil:

Ron is correct, also make sure you aren't sucking too hard, and I've also found that liquids with 50%+ VG are a very bad idea in the ego T, makes for a very hard draw which in turn causes leaks.

I have an Ego T type B and have had 0 leaks with it.

Also, make sure to align the breather channels on the cart with the gaps on the spike plate.

Hope this helps!

The least expensive fix for leaks on the eGo-t is the soft caps but you might look at some other threads addressing this problem:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/223829-new-ego-t-tanks-fix-leaks.html

and more of a summary thread for all tips here:

The more you understand how it works the better off you'll be with any type of ecig. None are like just lighting up a cigarette.

My eGo tanks sit in a zip lock in my "other stuff" ecig box. I got tired of them leaking in my pocket. I flipped over to Boge LR cartos and never looked back. Order some Boge 2.0 cartos. There are 5 in a box for about $8 and you can get 5 days to a week on each carto before they need to be replaced. You might want to find some juice with 30% or less VG content. Cartos like thinner juice and you won't have a leaking problem with them. The taste with a carto is top notch and ranks right up there with a dripper atty.

Fill them this way for the first fill, so that you get good saturation. After that, you can top them off by removing the little silicone cap and dripping in a couple of drops. You might want to order a drip tip for cartos/atomizers while you are ordering.

If your tanks don't have the silicone end cap seals, you might try that. Users say that fixes the problem. If you can't find them at your regular supplier, Cignot ® has them.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the help. My Boge cartos arrived just now. I see that when I pop the end off, there is an absorbent material in there. Is the idea to just drip the liquid I want to vape into that material, soak it, then puff away?

Thanks for helping out a beginner :)

First, take off the white top of the carto. If you have a syringe, load it with 1ml of liquid and slide the needle down the side of the carto and fill from the bottom . A few more drops from the bottle until the top of the filling starts to look “slushy”. If you don’t have a syringe, just slowly drop drop drop about 30 drops. Let the drops go down the side of the carto, not into the hole in the middle. Every 10 drops or so it may help the flick the carto like you would a thermometer to force the liquid to the bottom of the carto. If you have a drip tip, throw away the white end cap thingy and use the drip tip, otherwise pop the white thingy back in place to vape and then get online and order some pretty drip tips.
I know it may seem complicated, but it really is not.

Thanks! Got it sorted just like you said. Really enjoying cartos :)

One more thing. Don't vape too long without topping off the carto or you will burn it. You'll get a feel for when you need to top off, but until you do, do it often. If it takes more than 10 drops to get that slushy look on the filler, you may have waited too long.
