how great is that...got my Pilot on thursday...and lo and behold...had a notice in my mail today that my EVO is now waiting at the post office. sorta sucks that i have to wait until monday now to get it...but at least it's here! and per shipping, that was literally...2 weeks? yeah 2 weeks. i ordered it on 2/7. not bad for shipping from the UK to the OK.

Thats great news Flitzanu, let us know how you like your EVO. Did you order the regular EVO or the black ? 25 days for me here since my order was shipped and i still havent got it, placed an order with them on 1/22 got an email that it was dispatched on the 27th. I sent an email to John from Intellicig on Friday and still have not heard back from him.

I know their website and an email I got from John said they were hit really hard with a ton of orders and are just about caught up now, but they've been scrambling for a few weeks to get everything in order. Sometimes it takes his a few days to get back to ya when he's really busy.

Flitzanu: did you receive your EVO yet?

i went and picked it up at the post office today, so yeah, 2 weeks on the dot that it was ordered and delivered. mind you, i didn't get an email saying it was shipped, just the confirmation of payment, so i don't know when it was shipped.

going to try it in about 20 mins, so i'll report back :)

im gonna knock my .... on the ground i think, i had to order "high" carts bc that's all they had ;)

sorry, i ordered the standard white kit, not the black.

Flitzanu,

I just got mine today, too. Put my battery on to charge 6 hours ago and still no steady light to show full charge (like the manual says). Have pulled it out and restarted several times but no luck.

Did your battery get the fully-charged steady-on light like the manual says should happen?

yeah, i'm not getting the steady light either, one battery has been on for a few hours, since about 6pm (now 1030pm) and no steady light saying it's charged. the other didn't show a light either, i had it on USB for about oh, 2 hrs maybe, it didnt give me probs for the few hours i had it out tonight. worked great! the EVO batts are way more sensitive than Pilot batts though, i will say that.

eddie, do you know if your 3 different pc's are using USB 2.0 or 1.0? i'm wondering if that makes a difference.

i'm clueless now, i just built this PC and it's all 2.0 so i don't think that's an issue. i'm trying it now on a 1.0 powered hub, but no light yet after oh, 45 mins give or take.

and that's after the battery was on the 2.0 usb port for 4 hours. the other one seemed to work fine, but i would like to know why the battery isn't lighting up to show me it is!

I got my EVO recently, and I'm charging of the older USB (not 2.0) on my PC, and I, too, don't get a signal when my battery is charged. I'm not sure if this is a defect in the batteries we got, maybe, or if it has to do w/ the USB port on my PC not delivering enough juice. They do charge, but I don't get a light telling me the battery is good to go, either.

hmmm. maybe tomorrow i'll drop them an email and see if there's an issue with either the batteries or charger. i'm afraid to leave it on all night, maybe i'll take one to work and see if it does anything, but the book recommends 1-2 hrs, and i left one on for 4 to no avail and no light, so something seems off.

but it works fine!

i don't want to guess when they're charged though. maybe it is the type of USB plug or something. i have a few more things to try, and a few more ports to see if i can figure it out.

I had a dodgy new Evo genie battery.....on it's third charge it became almost red hot within about 10 mins of charging but luckily my computer shut power down to the USB port....I don't know if all computers do that but I don't think I would leave a battery on charge all night ..just in case.

There are two versions of that specific m4 series battery. The new style battery is intended to be used with the new style USB charger that does not have a charge indication light on the actual charger. You tell by the battery LED.

However the old style m4 batteries LED do not light up no matter how long one charges it. For these the old style charger was used. The old style USB charger is corded, and had a charge indication LED on the charger.

What has apparently happened is they have supplied old batteries with new chargers in order to make up for lost time and back stock issues. It seems that a few Companies have done that over the Holidays. That does not make it acceptable however..

Pete: That does not sound good. You are very lucky your computers ports have an emergency surge cutoff.
