;) This will be my first post here and hope this thread I started will help.....OK....I called this the Needle Project

You'll need a new disposable hypodermic needle size of 25G x 5/8-0.5x16mm(means: 25 gauge and 5/8-0.5x16mm length)..should be brown/orange plastic connector....cut the plastic connector to 1/3rd with the needle intact....stick into a cartridge wool (full/half filled with liquid..mine works with Njoy..might work with other brands) in the centre and push all the way in till the needle stop..don't puncture the cartridge..you'll notice the wool will be pushed back and liquid will fill up but don't worry if it also fill the cut end of the needle..you can top up later with e-liquids..now reinsert the cartridge with the modified needle into your atomiser..don't worry, it won't be burnt...start smoking...you'll feel a sudden change in the flow of vapor..cooler to the tip of the tongue and far more dense....please try...you'll like it...250 patients of mine love it..far superior but it can consume a bit more liquid..it is like dry smoking but with the cartridge inserted and if the 'fuel' gets low..jerk it like a pen running out of ink..you'll get a instant refill automatically....I find it far better in burning up th e-liquid and producing better vapor....

Second tip...keep your container cap(mine is the Njoy type) and cap it over your mouthpiece tip when you are not using the device ...use it like a pen cap (same principle to prevent your pen/marker from drying up)and you'll be conserving moisture within the atomiser(save losses of liquids through the mouthpiece)..you'll be surprised it actually help in producing your first billow of vapor....

More tips to come..as fast as I can discover it....Let me know if you have any problems...cheers....From Doc. Jim.Loi., Malaysia. :)

Great to see you here! I've been reposting you from e-Cig and now I can relax.
Thanks TropicalBob...just want to add in my 2 penny here ...don't want you to suffer reposting(that's a lot of work..)..

Sorry for the confusion....The needle should be left intact..cut only the plastic connector part only till 1/3rd left(cuz the whole thing can't go in)..insert the whole needle(with the cut modified part)into the centre of the cartridge wool core...just don't puncture the plastic cartridge..push until it meet resistance..the whole modified needle should be inside the core with the wool being pushed back(the liquid will rise)...Don't worry about burns since the same plastic cartridge tip doesn't get burn all the time you use it....By the way how do you post pictures here?..hope someone can guide me...I'm working primarily with NJOY devices and cartridges..so if any other brands which can share same cartridge style, maybe it will work too...Good luck and happy 'Smoking'.... ;)

I'm confused - got pictures? :D Does the cut section of the needle go into the cartridge or is does it face the atomizer?
The Cut section(plastic part) should face the Atomiser( I think it act as a Second Core reservoir..creating cold eddy current which produces the cool vapor which you will feel at the tip of your tongue when you draw on it)...

Great to have you on board Jim!

Looking forward to some excellent and informative stuff. Thanks for explaining your needle technique.

As regards photos, we don't have any way of hosting at the moment, but you can link to them externally using (img)www.exampleurl.com/photo.jpg(/img), but with square brackets rather than parentheses.

By the way, do you have any thoughts on the long term safety of inhaling propylene glycol?

Some pictures would greatly be helpful, I'm having a hard time envisioning this completely. What keeps the needle from falling out of alignment to the atomizer? This invention sounds quite interesting and would like to give it a try. I also have Njoy brand e-cig and you stated a container cap, are you referring to the refill cartridge cap??

Thanks Sj...I was surprised to find it(my post Clinical trial)here..felt great honor has been bestowed upon me to reach out to more people.....I'm still learning ,SJ, as much as I could...Your forum has helped me a lot much earlier on..I should thank you all..All of you are my teachers, your thoughts and ideas has actually guide me thru..and I realised none of you are greedy or selfish..All of you just want to share your joy, your hope and your frustrations...this is something very new and yet so familiar....And I feel I should contribute as much as I could till my brain frizzles out(or senility creep in first..hehehe :D )

Already on it SJ..The propylene glycol problem.....I have found several alternatives..still in testing stage....The last one(last week) derived from a common fruit(Esther form) looks promising because it also provide natural nicotine...wait for me..I'll let the cat out as soon as my Chemistry report comes back..need to proof it's safety(hopefully not like the lip balm fiasco) and efficacy.....I'm full of work / list to do and counter checklist..I'm working on my own and my number of patients on NDS devices is increasing..Need to keep alert for PPG(propylene glycol) problem/side effects...Had a few patients with this issue...but I already treated them but I'm still doubtful whether it is PPG or my Malaysian pollution factor...Hope I got the chance to elaborate that later(a 3 page report..actually  )

My Government has requested me to conduct the study over a longer period becuz it is so totally new product and not many doctors are interested in it(unfortunately I am!!)...The NZ clinical trial was too short and device failure snubs it out prematurely..I think that's not fair for all consumer be it smoker or non-smoker..sorry got carried away....Will try to post some pics as soon as I can(never done that before)....Cheers and thanks for the welcome.. :)

Thank you too bro...now the cartridge cap(not the cartridge itself) the round thing with the density sticker plastered on it..will fit snugly over the mouthpiece(don't remove the inner silicon cap...it works wonderfully well in keeping the moisture in..ahem..please wash the cap before using it..you might get some mild burn if you forget to wipe it....

The inserted needle will get out of alignment and you need not adjust it since it still acts as a reservoir over the broad tip end of the atomiser..
So Sorry Meltrex, I agree a picture will explained a lot..will do my best to show them hopefully by this week...Got a airline test coming soon and tropicalbob has asked me to videotape it..that will be another problem...what a strange new world we're living in....

Here is some pics..hope it is clear...

First pic show the difference between a cut needle and uncut..note the cut portion of the plastic connector.

This is the inserted part..into the Cartridge..

Hope you all understand now..

This is the tube I created for the Hookah style....The tube is a semi hardened clear transparent tube of Diameter 1cm and length of 25 cm.
Tube1.jpg

The Mouthpiece of your device without the cartridge should be inserted (a bit difficult ) at one end. The other free end is to connect to the mouthpiece of your device.
Tube3.jpg

The whole setup should look like this.
Tube2.jpg

Hope you all enjoy this....The vapor produced is far more intense and pleasurable. And you'll enjoy watching the vapor streaming out of the device...try it guys..worth doing for servicing your device when you want to dry smoke it....I used it for trouble shooting faulty device(that's another story.) ;)

You meant the prefilled liquid...the needle was supposed to drain it easier towards the Atomiser head (hopefully by Bernoulli's effect) and also acts as a reservoir for refilled E-Liquid(can be shaken out when you jerk it downwards like when you run out of ink)..In a way it acts like a 'Damper' and lessen damage to the Atomiser...just think of having both style of smoking ...Cartridge style and Dry smoking in One go....(but it tends to use more E-liquid if you overdo it..be aware :p )

Now I am testing out a much larger bore needle and will post the results soon...There are a few more experiments which has been done and I hope to post it later on(if it is successful.. ;) )

Thanks for trying out....hope you'll like it and do give me more feedback so I can finalised the final design...Thanks once again.

yes, i also thought about Bernoulli's effect, but got a feeling that the needle maybe too thin and e-liquid little bit to heavy, to go up easily.(also some air still coming from the battery end, so the different of pressure not too big) i look for other needles, but they did not have bigger diameter in such length. but i see you already developing your great inventions in this direction. very much looking forward. and thank you for sharing your ideas with us !
