I have noticed this as well. At the start of the week I think I was driving my co workers insane, but as the week went on the slowly converted and started joining me in the ongoing conversations about tastes and not smelling like ashtrays. As of today three of my co workers are now ex smokers and current vapers:) My manager laughed at me today and said that I was a vaper pusher: I told him that I don't need to push anything, just let them try it and they realize that it really could work for them.

You will find many sayers in the crowd. I simply ask them if they can stand back a few feet because I can smell a day's worth of cigarette butts in their clothes and Im getting a little nautious.
Usually shuts them right up.

There is a fine line though between that. We have to remember we were smokers of analogs too until we found what is the world of vaping. The one thing I hated when I was on analogs was people pushing me to quit or telling me I should. All we can do is vape around them and when they ask about it give them all the information we have. I know how much I hated the non smoking [FONT=arial, sans-serif]extremists and never want to become one of them myself no matter how much I would love to see others find the world of vaping.

I also ask everywhere I go if it is ok if I vape in the building and I do carry around a piece of paper showing the no smoking ban in my state does have documentation that when they made the law it did not include electronic cigarettes.

I had one guy at a bar I was standing outside in the smoking area and he didn't smoke once I blew my vape he started moving his hand in front of his face thinking it was an analog (don't ask me why he was sitting in the smoking area if he wasn't a smoker). Once he could smell and looked up at what I was using he started asking me questions about it.

This week I did something that I haven't been able to do in probably 10+ years (smoked 15+ years) I ran up a 4 flights of stairs and back down again without a single need to stop and I am only on 2 months.

It has been over 6 months since I had my last analog, and I have 3 other people in the house that are smokers (still working on them) LOL, but I tell you, the smoke does not phase me, as a matter of fact it now makes me gag... and to think for 25+ years, I smoked a pack or more a day... YUCK!
This forum was a great source of inspiration for me when I started out.
Good Luck and Happy Vaping!

I have been very surprised with how well my vaping has been received at my workplace. I am a federal employee and the federal government was very quick to ban ecigs in buildings, (at least my branch was). I have had a few non smokers approach me to get information for their loved ones that smoke. I am sure that as time goes on I will get the nay sayers, but I will tell them that the arsenic in their analogs has fried their brains and it is ok, I understand:)

NO don't get me wrong, I don't try to talk anybody into using a personal vaporizer.
If you ask, Ill tell you. If you don't, you wont see me on your doorstep come Saturday morning.

But if you have done your part to make me self conscious for my choice, you may get a rebuttal.
At least I don't stink.

WOW!

Thanks so much everyone here for all the support - what a fantastic group of people you are!!!! I am so glad to have found this forum!

Well.... think I am on day 3 now...no analogs, zip zero nada! On my second day I had some definite tension in my jaw that I presume was just some minor withdrawal. But it really was just that - minor, very minor. A slight inconvenience in comparison to every other time I've tried to quit.

Last night was St. Patrick's day which was really the ultimate test - but I just packed my eGo along for the festivities and , even though I am used to smoking heavily when I have some drinks, I was perfectly happy and satisfied to vape. I didn't even want a cigarette.

So I'm celebrating today - ordered a couple new juices in flavors I really can't wait to try =)

Oh on another note,

My fiance and I are making this change together - he too has been a long time smoker. He was initially very wary of the pv. He chose instead to try the lozenges (again...)

He came home from work on day 1 just a mess...and sheepishly asked to use the pv.
He's been reading on it now...and is also, with the help of the pv - still analog free and feeling great about quitting, with only minor withdrawal issues.

Looks like we are going to be buying another. :)

It's amazing I used to go though 2 packs on absolve when I went out drinking sometimes more in just a 6-8 period on top of the pack I smoked during the day. I have gone out and found I have actually some nights not even reached for my pc or very little. That is definitely a good way to tell for me atleast if gaping is good for ya if you can drink without needing or wanting an analog.
