My first atomizer

So my first atomizer in my ego c (rebuildable) has crapped the bed. Used it heavily for about a week. I watched a video about cleaning them out by taking the head off and i broke it. Thats not what i need advice about. i need advice on how i can keep it from clogging, thats what made me look up a video. It became hard to get a good hit off of it and the amount of vapor had reduced by a lot. Things I had done was taking it apart and just wiping it but is there more that i should be doing to maintain it? Again this is for an ego c rebuildable atomizer head and ways to maintain it and get the most life possible out of it

If you are using silica wick then you can do short dry burns, then brush the ash off with a toothbrush. If you are using cotton or cheesecloth than you need to rebuild. If the coils are wrapped loose enough so that you can pull the wick out leaving the coil behind then you can dry burn and then rethread the coil.
