It is 24 G kanthal wire.

The coils aren't a perfect cylinder wanted to know if that is a problem as well as having a different amount of wraps on each coil.
When i checked it with my Volt meter it was showing .6 Ohms.

I noticed when i use it the mod gets pretty hot if i dont give it some time between pulls on it.
I have a Tohb atty and a Cartel mod with an 18650 battery.

according to my ohms law calculator 24 v 40 Amps .6 ohms and 960 watts

I used the .6 Ohms and the battery saying its 40 amps to get the wattage and voltage.

Do those measurements sound safe? 960 watts seem like a grab load to me.

Any help would be great thanks guys!!

Also I would like to keep it around 1 Ohms, any advice on how to get there would be nice as well.

First - I highly recommend doing some research on battery safety and mechanics. I'm sorry but it's clear that you don't understand what all these numbers actually mean. 960watts would be pretty insane. In vaping we use ohms law is used to calculate the total current (in amps) your build will draw from your battery based on the battery's voltage and the resistance of your coils. FYI, your battery outputs a max of 4.2v on a full charge. So used properly ohms law says that on a fresh battery a 0.6ohm coil at 4.2v is drawing 7A of current at 29.4watts.

After that watch the youtube tutorial for tri-post drippers. Many tutorials exist specifically for the TOBH. If you already have a regulated mod like an SVD or a Vamo it would probably help you to build higher resistance coils with thinner wire that will work with said device. This is a much safer way to get a little experience under your belt before you jump into sub-ohm.

This hobby has the potential to be extremely dangerous and your best protection is information.

As has already been said, your formula is off. Always use 4.2 as your battery voltage. Divide the voltage by the resistance to get the amp draw.

As for your coils, you really want them as even as possible when doing dual coils. The reason is, if one is lower resistance than the other, it will get hotter faster, leading to dry hits, wick burning, nastiness. Also, what did you wrap them on? Whatever you used, you want to keep it in the coil while you're mounting it, so that the coils don't lose their shape.

Other than that, good first try, you'll get better :)

hehehee is this a wind up!!?

i swear you have 6wraps on the coil and 8 on the other.
you got all your figures/calculations wrong.
& it looks like you could have done a better job with the wrapping whilst taking a banana boat ride.

Well, I was trying to be nice, but yeah.

just a couple suggestions. Count your wraps, starting with the first one, and ending with the last one and make sure both coils have the same amount of wraps so both coils heat up at the same temp, try to make the wraps as close as possible to each other, while putting the coil in the atty keep the wire on whatever you used to wrap the wire around until you have one of the screws tightened ( the negative screw) that way you do not mess your coils up. Also use higher gauge kanthal like 28 or 26g both great starting gauges. lastly get yourself some high drain batteries and always, always, always me safe. if something does go wrong, at the very least you will get a bad burn, the very worst its like holding a grenade to your face and releasing the pin. with the proper precautions subing with a mech is safe. here are some links to help you on your way. They helped me and many other.

oh and download yourself an ohms law app for your phone after you have read and understand ohms law.
