vape is smoother using the USB passthrough than on battery?
(My computer has USB3 ports which are suppose to have more power than USB2, not sure if that means anything.)

I ordered extra 510 atomizers, the attys are fine, but the cartridges that came with them don't have anything in them, no absorbing stuff. Can I order that stuff in bulk?

Side Note: This is my first day in ten years to be smoke free  , I am loving the Riva ego, AltSmoke and MyFreedomSmokes for great shopping and shipping expieriences. Ordered from both last Thursday and they both arrived on Monday.

For the first question it depends on the the passthrouth. Some have a battery inline that will still give a lower (around 3.7 give or take a 1/2 volt) and others do not have a battery and will give a 5 volt (or source voltage) output to the atty. "smoother" is somewhat a subjective term as some like a 3.7 volt and others like a 5 volt using a given atty. Even with using the atty and cart setup at a given voltage the experence in vaping can change with the resistance of the atty. A low resistance atty can "run" hotter at a given voltage than a regular resistance atty. Then other folks have found they like to use a cartomizer (atty and cart combined in one unit) and these are avail in different resisatnce levels as well. There are also "mega" verison of both the atty/cart and carto setup which all have different folks saying that such and such an an a given volatge is thier "ideal" vape.

I hope that it is not overload in the different equipment out there and would suggest exploring the different options slowly since it seems that what you are doing now is working for you. I just wanted to point out that voltage is any one of the many variables in the vaping experence.

The cartridge that came empty was it on the end of the atty? If so it can still be used by getting a "filler". When you want you can look here with waht can be used with it Cartridge Mods.

Congrats on your fist day smoke free and enjoy your journey into equipment and juices.

You can use plain polyfil stuffing which you can buy at WalMart, you can use Fluval which you can buy at PetSmart. Both are cheap and work very well.

There are several Fluvals out there for aquariums...try the blue foam first, Fluval 3 plus will also work. The tea bag mod (standard or "Pyramid" -see youtube for how to do these) is a quick fix until you go shopping. :)

Congratulations!

Thank you all!
Yes the carts came ontop of brand new attys, I was expecting them to be just like the ones that came in the starter kit, but I will try some of that filler.
sl_rat: I bought 2 drip tips with my first order, I like using them at home, but I need to be able to load some carts while I'm on the go.
petem: thanks for the info, not sure about this passthrough, I may check it with my meter later on and see if there is a power diff. The throat hit was not near as strong on USB, but I tried another atty and it hits a little stronger now.

All in all I'm happy with my setup and have now made it TWO FULL DAYS SMOKE FREE!
I love vaping in the car with the windows up... actually I love vaping. period. LOL
