So I have several friends and co-workers who vape and some who just use very simply e-cigs. I don't smoke that often, I personally smoke hookah since I love the taste of it even though I know its horrible for me, but carrying around a hookah isn't really practical so I do smoke cigarettes during the day at work. I finally decided to go ahead and try something simple so I got a Joytech 510 kit - it came with 4 heads and 2 batteries plus a USB charger. So far it has been OK, I can't take very huge hits off of it but the juice that I put in it tastes great!

I do have to say it does have a very solid cigarette type of feel, which I now know why some of the other guys in the office got this one - does anyone know of any other cigarette type of batteries / mods I can get? I'm not sure if I want to take the plung yet all the way into a full on mod like the Siegel (not sure if thats right) or maybe a Vamo.

My only real gripe about this product is that the head pieces - with the cotton - do not really seem to be reusable so I'll eventually just have to buy more heads once it dries up or if I want to us a different flavor.

To the point - does anyone have any suggestions for a new user for a small cig type of battery? Preferably something where I can just swap out the cotton in the head piece (if thats possible) with out having to buy a whole new head piece.

Hi and welcome! The small "cig-a-like" that seems to get the most recommendations is the "Volt" made by Smokeless Image. Another popular small device is the "eRoll" made by Joyetech. There are threads about both of them on ECF and review videos on youtube. Both are available with blanks you can fill with your own flavors.

As The Ocelot has posted the Volt from Smokeless Image is a great cig sized PV. They're ECF listed/ verified and prolly have the best CS in the industry along with a huge and loyal following. Also if you post your pic they give a freebie

The bonus of filling your own cartomizers is it's cheaper and a whole new world of flavors opens up.
Best of Luck.

Do you by chance know how much the blanks are? Some of the ones I have seen seem rather steep in price compared to what I paid for for the battery.

One other question is can you just keep re-filling the them with more juice or do you have to throw them out after a certain period of time / some much usage I'm just curious since the kit I purchased came with 4 head pieces to use.

Thanks!

Their blank Cartos sell for a 5 pack for $9.00. YES you can refill them time after time. About once a week clean them. Got to Youtube and check out on how to clean them. I don't boil mine I just use the "Turkey Baster" method on mine in as hot of water as I can get. IF you change flavors clean them first, you don't want left over tastes on your new flavor. I have been using the SAME carto for over a month. Just keep it full, do not let it go empty.

I use them on my X-2, high powered one, and on the Volt cigarette sized ones.

AFTER I clean mine I use a "Tari" spin method of drying. I KNOW that is not the right name exactly for it, but it is close. It is where you put it in a little sock looking thing attached to strings and spin it around and around. The force spins the water out, I let it sit for the rest of the day anyway. But I have refilled right after drying also.

I believe they have the horizontal coils and you can use as a Drip Atomizer once you take the filler out. Have not done that yet though.

I love my Bloog Maxx Fusion. Can't swap out the cotton but I've been using the same carts and refilling for 4 months and so far none have failed me.

Awesome thanks for the advice about cleaning it out and for the recommendationson some other products I'll have to take a look into them. I think pretty soon I'm going to get a more adavced mod / stronger battery but keep something like this cig a like with me. I do like having something small that just fits in my pocket, but I'm thinking about getting something more advanced for like at the home use.

Thanks again!
