Or maybe the guy giving the stink eye with the seven year old child was the third person that didn't get a chance to complain yet...or the 4th or the 5th.Perhaps.
But probably not. It was probably the father of the 7 year old child sitting at the table nearby giving him the "stink eye" just like the OP thought.
And you're missing the bigger point here. You sit down at a table with someone elses child sitting nearby. You don't know them, you haven't asked for their permission to vape around their child. Is that EVER an appropriate time to break out the ecig and blow clouds?
Part of the concept of control is the ability to demonstrate self control.
there are a "few" ( but the numbers are dropping rapidly) locally owned bar/resturants that allow smoking in the "bar" section left where I live.... Orleans Parrish has recently banned vaping also along with smokingWhat restaurant in the US allows smoking? I haven't seen one in years...
because the complainer complains because they can with impunity.Isn't it funny how that always seems to only work one way.
The person vaping is NEVER the one who is at fault for reducing someone elses enjoyment while they are out eating and drinking. It's always the person who complains that is the problem. Why is that?
i do not recall the OP saying he was blowing clouds in any child's face. How about "I can't enjoy myself when your vapor and breath blow into my son's face. He's just a little kid and shouldn't be vaping, and shouldn't have to breath your vapor, especially without my permission."
At what point did you decide that vaping around someone elses 7 year old child without their parent's permission was acceptable? I mean, do you REALLY need someone to explain to you the problem here? Common sense should tell you exactly what you did wrong.
well they are running out of smokers to attack so they have to come after us. and what is a 7 year old doing in a bar? in some states that would be illegal.there are many family restaurants that don't sell alcohol. guess he's trying to teach his kid that it is normal and appropriate to drink but not to vape.Oh I've run into this before, where people far away from me saw me vaping and decided to get nasty about it, when my vapor was actually going nowhere near them. One came striding fast up into my face from about 70 ft. away where he'd been watching me to yell "Don't blow that s*** in my face, then quickly walked away. Another sitting 50 ft. away from me in a bar saw me vaping, and I heard him tell his friends, "It's just a GD nicotine delivery device!" Then he complained to the manager who told me to take it outside. The AC in there was blowing my vapor away from him. It's not even about your vapor bothering them, it's just that they have an irrational hatred of what you are doing and have decided to be hostile to it.
I was amazed by how many people got asthma attacks when they saw me carrying my pipe. when I pointed out that it was not lit there asthma attacks stopped but they got mad at me. guess it was my fault for "making" them act like a fool in publicIt'd be interesting to see how many complaints you would get simulating vaping without any visible clouds by like "using" a mod without the battery in it....
Get a complaint and being asked to stop, you show its not operational....
