The original Puritans believed that recreational sex was sinful and evil ... :grr:

So how come we have so many of them now ?

Because most of them probably don't believe in birth control either.

Next time order them an Absolute and Sour Apple or a vodka, rum, tequila, gin think blue curaco, sweet and sour mix and 7 up. Make sure the waiter/ess tells them the name of the drink and who sent it. I was with some friends at some restaurant a year ago. We were having a good time and quite loud. Many pitchers of beer. The waiter said someone complained and could we keep it down. I said no but we will have the check and some to go cups:). I saw the dude that complained smiling and asked the waiter to send him a blue one and who ordered it. Of course my friends got a kick out of it when I told them.

Glad it had a happy ending LOL

I've been asked not to vape due to a complaint a couple times at a bar I frequent. The complainer is always anonymous and that bothers me. I think if someone wants me to change my behavior and experience reduced enjoyment while I am out eating or drinking then they should have the {i'll save the mods some work} to let me know who they are. Plus, I'd like to know if they were next to me or across the room (which is very possible),
I don't know you so I don't know what you look like, so for all I know if I saw you in a dark alley I might run the opposite way.

People are scared of retribution, and if I was with my 7 year old son (which I don't have one) I'd be fearful of retribution on my sons well being.

Little explanation of this....

A group of friends and I were at Magic Mountain (several years ago) and we saw some gang banger looking types jump the queue and get up near the front. One of my friends went and found an attendant and told him about the incident, he came over and told my friend that he'd have to go with him to confront the queue jumpers and physically point them out. Well.... He looked at our group, which consisted of his wife, children, friends and their children and said, not a chance in hell am I going to go and point them out. He was afraid of retribution in the parking lot and that his children or the ladies in the group might have gotten beat up at the same time so.... Sometimes it's just best to tell an employee and hope they have the balls themselves to go and confront the consumer as many consumers take news better from employees than they do other patrons, I've seen it many times where a customer will obey what the employee tells them but if a perfect stranger came up they'd punch them in the nose for not minding their own business. Not saying anybody here would resort to violence for somebody pointing out that you're vaping in a non vaping area but that doesn't stop the other customer from thinking there could be if they confronted you personally.

Plus let's face it, in a restaurant customers almost always complain to their wait staff about other patrons in hopes that "management" will deal with it. Doesn't matter if it's a group getting too boisterous or falling down drunk, or..... vaping, complain to the wait staff and let management deal with it. At least that's what my friend told me a while back and he's sort of made a career out of being a waiter in high end restaurants and makes more money than I do as an administrator. Damn I need to switch careers. LOL

But what is the name of the drink? You didn't say.

I gotta be one of the most pro-vape people on the planet, because I firmly believe that vaping has dramatically improved my life, and very likely extended it. With that said:
I'm still not sure how some can't seem to understand, that when most people walk into a room and see someone a.) blowing what initially LOOKS like smoke out of their mouths; OR b.) putting some unfamiliar 'instrument' to their mouth and inhaling on it, that it sure LOOKS like smoking, or, maybe like imbibing something that could be illegal to the uninitiated.
Can we not all agree, that there is just no getting past the fact that until vaping becomes far more accepted than it already is, that there will certainly be resistance from certain types. This will ALWAYS be the case.

This is really a simple, small problem that is easy to overcome to most everyone's satisfaction, in my opinion. I have vaped in places that some would probably not believe (and that I will not go into here) that I could never get away with smoking a cigarette. All I did was exercise a little bit of discretion, courtesy, and stealth. (So I consider myself way ahead of the game!)

I really believe that if you vape in people's faces or generally just in their presence, you should expect that some will complain, if not get in your face as well. This is really not likely to EVER change, no matter how much vaping is accepted.
