Surprisingly nervous over posting to a forum for the first time in my life. Which proves how dedicated I have become to vaping. Fifty-three year old female who use to smoke a pack a day (more if I am going to be completely honest). Pondered the thoughts of trying ecigs but never made an effort until Groupon put out a PremiumVapes coupon and I thought for less than a carton of Misty Menthol's....I would see what this is all about. Vaped here and there for a month. Seemed to cut down automatically. I didn't even realize it untill I was down to a few, then two a day. And when I got to my last pack I was smoking just one a day. Was amazed at how long a pack would last. By the end of the pack I could not believe how bad my normal brand tasted and how much I dreaded that one lonely ciggy. Have been decigatized since May 5th. Almost 16 days. I cannot predict tomorrow....but for today I am doing better than okay. Have tried so many times before, who knew it would only take a flavorful little puff of water vapor?

Hello and welcome! I was nervous at first too. I must have erased my first post 5 times before hitting the submit button. I smoked for 33 of my 47 years. It's so much easier to quit with ecigs! Since quitting 1 month ago, I have cut back to 12mg nicotine. Go at your own pace though. Don't push yourself, and if you have a cig now and then, don't be too hard on yourself. Stay strong, ask questions, read, read and read some more! What type of ecig are you using. It seems to be working for you, but let us know if you have any questions!!

Good to hear rat2chat2 I've been smoke free almost 1 year and am 50 smoked 35 of em away. like you who knew ? i wasn't impressed either with the little njoy cigs but now i have real vaping devices and have no desire to smoke at all. Guess my point is if your having a troubles just remember there is a device and flavor in vaping that is so good you'll never want a nasty cigarette ever again no matter how long you've smoked em .

Welcome!!! The first post is the hardest and you did it! Congrats on your progress. I'm also a female over 50 who smoked for way too many years....still can't believe how easy it was to give up. Now it's 35 days later and I'm running to the mailbox and vaping flavors that are even keeping me away from desserts because they take care of that craving too! So glad you're here.....read and watch lots of videos. You're gonna love it here.....It's a great group of folks!! :D

Welcome from a fellow newbie, congrats on your choice to vape. I have been stinky free for 1 month and have not as yet had the urge to go back. Each and every stinky we don't have is a victory, also I do tend to nag about this but please remember to drink plenty of water, as vaping is dehydrating . This is a great forum and there is so much help here, I have asked some of the dumbest questions and everyone is so patient.

Thank you. Congrats to your accomplishment too. I don't feel like "running" to the mailbox but definitely walking. So exciting when there is a bubble envelope addressed to me. I've tried so many way to stop smoking and can't believe how easy this has been so far. I can already tell there are some great people here.
