I'm an everyday vaper. I mean, I went from smoking cigarettes every day to using first gen cig look alikes when they first came out to buying mods and cartos and tanks to lowering nic levels so I can get off cigs completely, to vivi tank, and finally to ss mesh in genesis v2 clear tube tank.

My genesis v2 came in today and I was THRILLED! Finally being able to get off nasty cartos, replacing vivi heads every 2 weeks, and all the freggin hassle of ecigs that all in all are just a horrible experience and will not win the hearts of true analog quitters. Back to my story. It came in today and I have spent the whooooole entire day getting the genesis to work right and let me tell you its been a tough battle. Probably over 8 hours but crucial intensive time spent at my job since I had nothing better to do than to build the best atomizer out! Finally got it firing up right and all. Went through a lot of kanthal wire and 1 SS wick also wasted. But it was worth it.

I am using 400 SS with I think 30 or 32 from litecig. Although I decided to use the 3 wicks that came with the genesis for ease of not wasting another 8 hours making a mesh. I get the concept now and making a mesh is actually easy.

I want to let you other vapers know that this is your solution. This has been a gift from the ecig gods. Go experiment you have nothing to lose. Wire is cheap, mesh is cheap, genesis is cheap, all you need is a lot of time and a whole lot of patience. You CAN NOT do this without devoting a lot of time and patience.

My thoughts on the genesis v2 with the clear tube is that its great. I love its build quality and feel like this is the last thing ill ever have to buy and just keep refilling it and cleaning it. Probly going to be months before I replace the coil or wick.

My tips for the ones struggling, use your mind first and your frustration last! lol. Use the provided screw driver to wind about 5 to 6 or 7 what ever you end up getting better ohms at. It matters how many winds of the wire you do around the wick. The tiny screw driver provided just happened to be the closest and most convenient item I could use since it has the PERFECT width for my wick. Which by the way I am using the 400 SS mesh provided as well. The wire I definitely replaced and made with my own. That wire it comes with is junk compared to kanthal. I have another great tip, on the filling part. Kind of literally impossible to fill without a syringe or bottle with needle on it. I've tried to take apart the tube to fill it through there and only got my hopes up. How ever since I felt like I've never needed any of those much needed tools, I went ahead and didnt buy it with the kit. So here is my solution. Take out the second screw that is unused I believe its called a fill screw and if you have a needle that would be your spot to fill it. Slowly pour the e-juice into the mesh hole with the mesh and wire out and allow the hole to seep it in slowly as you have it tilted to that side, with the air hole up. Do not get juice in the air hole it will shut out the suction. yay.

Ok, my experience with hot spots has been horrible but to make that part much simple I did what I mentioned about using the tiny screw driver to pre-wrap the wire. Push all loops really close together as to make them stay close together. This method will help for doing many wraps around. Put this wire in its location on the atomizer (contact screws) and once its in there in its position, push the wick through all the way to the bottom. The wick should not be too wide or too thin, it has to be some what thick or hollow as some say, I did thick and its doing well with 30/70 or pretty much any juice. It has to be so it doesn't fall out of the hole if you put it upside down, yet you can pull it out kinda easily. Check the Ohms and adjust your voltage. Make sure you have an e-cig with protection. If not, then idk do at your own risk. Don't inhale this at all yet, you have to prime the wick with e-juice. I'll explain later.

Fire it up! Let those coils get red hot so you can see the hot spots (the only spot which is activating way more than other spots). Usually it will be at the top or bottom of the coil. You will have to move each and every individual coil wrap and fire it up to test, to have all coils get red hot at the same time. 4 out of 6 coils can be your first goal then you will get the hang of it until you get them all. Its not like pokemon, you cant catch them all! lol it just takes time. Once you get a good coil burning perfect you will now prime the wick with juice to get harsh nasty tastes away.

This priming process is simple. Hit the trigger to get the coils hot and put out the fire with your favorite juice. Preferably a 50/50 mix. Then let go and do again. You might have to repeat this process until it starts to taste better. I also recommend letting the wick soak in e-juice overnight before priming and even after priming. What I really mean is, get the juice really in there. Do what ever you can to get it to taste right. Keep priming it but dont kill it. I primed it probably 15 or more times. Some would say to prime it by soaking it in juice and torching till red hot and repeating the process. Like I said, do what ever you can until it taste right. Juice really has to get in there.

Any comments or advice or questions are much appreciated. :p
