Yay! Although it's a Greensmoke starter kit that's going to be returned, I can at least drop the analog's and use this till my Riva 510 kit comes in. :)

Right now, I'm trying the tobacco, and as an analog menthol smoker, I have to say, I'm really pleasantly surprised with the tobacco taste. I figured I'd hate it.

Looking forward to trying the rest of the flavors.

Yeah, my initial post on here which is somewhat buried described the situation, but basically, it came down to I had ordered after watching a few online reviews and reading a couple blogs. Shortly after ordering I found this forum, and did a little reading and realized I had over-spent for what I was getting. Got a lot of great helpful advice and made my next order right away. Now I really can't wait to get a proper pv, and will probably be looking at getting a mod in the next couple of months since I've been doing even more reading. :D

Greensmoke is a good model - KR808D-2 aka e9, the near twin of KR808D-1 (the most popular and well-supported 2-piece) but KR808D-2 has different threads. When new kinds of cartomizers are sold, they usually support 510 and KR808D-1 threading and never KR808D-2 threading. Also I don't think KR808D-2 offers manual batteries, and most people here use and recommend manual batteries, especially if you are refilling cartomizers. Manuals are much harder to damage with juice leaks.

When you get your Riva 510, if you wan to keep using the Greensmoke tobacco cartos, leCig sells a 510 to D2 adapter. If you bought Riva 901, use the D1 to D2 adapter. The most popular blank cartos for Riva 510 are Boge (standard resistance or the hotter 2.0 ones - I recommend learning on the standard ones since they are not so quick to singe as you learn when to add juice)

Thanks dormouse. I doubt I'll stick with using their cartos though. The flavors I've tried so far, tobacco and menthol are ok, but GS's selection of flavors is pretty small. Already I've been looking around at all the different juice suppliers, and want to try everything! I got lucky with a contest Violetvoo was hosting and got second, so I've got a sample of Honeysuckle coming soon. That's in addition to ordering about 7 different flavors with my starter kit from liberty-flights.

One thing I realized after the fact that has me concerned. I originally ordered the Smoketek dual cartos that are 1.5ohms. Is it ok to use those with the Riva? Something tells me that they'll either eat the battery or fry real quick from what I've been reading about LR stuff.
