Hey all,

I just got done building my first mod and thought i would get your opinions on it. I took it down to my local vap shop I get my juice at and they really liked it.

It uses a Yihi SX350 60W chip. For the battery it's a Efest 18650 3.7v 20A battery. There is room inside for a secondary battery. I'm just still trying to figure out if i want to go parallel or series with them. Series would let me run a higher wattage, but the parallel would give me longer battery life. The problems with the parallel is locating a proper balancing board to make it a 2 cell battery to keep the voltage and amperage the stable.

While I am happy with it, I do plan on making another. The paint job on it was all hand done. The box was organically a Hammond 1590B project box.

The SX350 and the 510 connector came from
Varitube.com. The battery i picked up from my local vap shop. The reset of the mod parts came from amazon.

I do need a new tank that goes better with this mod, but have not been able to find 1 yet. So i'm thinking of modding one of my spar unitanks.

So let me know what you all think.

Is this the chip you purchased?
Authentic YiHi SX350 60W Chip!

It is showing that the Maximum Output Voltage is already 9.5v. At 60W, to achieve 9.5v, that's a 1.5ohm coil.

Not trying to argue, as I'm still researching yihi chips for a potential future box build myself. Back on topic, the box looks sick!

I must have miss read that my self. As I thought you had to have the 9v balancing board to run at 9v. Though that could be just for charging. I didn't do a lot of research before I picked it, but it looked better then the DNA 30/40. The gravity controls is what really sold me. Techie features for a geeky tech really.

Maybe some magnets for the door ?
No Machine screws. I have some nice antique brass screws on order to replace the steel ones.

Awesome! Can we see under the hood?
I added pics of the inside. I used quick disconnects for the board wiring. Since I wasn't 100% sure how i would like the window on the side. While i'm still testing it out I plan to leave them in. Once on fully stratified with it, I planed to trim down the wires to the min length and remove the quick disconnects. As it all adds a .3 ohm of resistance. The mounting compound is clear Polyamide hot melt glue. Which is a industrial hot melt for high heat environment and easy to remove with Isopropyl Alcohol.

The little green electrical tape is the up/down optional push button wires. I left them attached to the board (since it came pre soldered) in case i decided I wanted to use them.
