Hello everyone. My Prodigy gave up on me and while waiting for something better looking that you'll see below, I made this. Really easy. About 30 min it
took me (mostly soldering without the proper bench, had my parts literally in the air and done it standing up right).
You'll need:
- 2x 100 microF capacitors for the booster board
- 1x booster board from TI
- a bit of wire
- 1x switch
- 1x mono jack (as 801 adapter)
- 1x box to put everything into
- 1x18650 battery (charged)
Instructions:
Solder 2 capacitors as per TI instructions onto the board.
Solder 2 red wires to the switch
Solder 1 red wire from the switch to the Vin on the bard
Solder 3 black wires to the board where it says "1"
Solder 1 black wire from above to capacitor "-" on the Vout side
Use the other 2 black wires from above for the battery "-" and solder another to mono jack "-" end.
Solder 1 red wire from Vout on the booster board to mono jack's center pin (easily made with some tape as insulator and a screw in the middle)
Done.
My battery is connected with some tape to hold the connectors in place as
I did not have any springs etc to keep it neat.
Not the best mod in the world, but easy to make.
Enjoy!
