hi all !
just finished my 2nd one . the atty connector is a 510 to ego trimmed down a little to separate the pos and neg .to save space I cut a slot in the pos pin and soldered the wire side ways. sealed with epoxy . this convertor has two silicone insulators and the pos pin is two pieces ! threaded one male and one female so there is some adjustment ...nice. re esembled after soldering. the switches and charger board are hidden .the firing switch is a whats called a limit switch and is 5 amps and an actuator cut from corean ..love that stuff !
there is a little shelv to glue things to but no glue on the dna. the batterys only scotch taped together ..soldered...then gooped up with epoxy to stabilize the wires and the small tabs . the fuse is in the negative side of the battery. the dna is pre wired with short leads then placed in the case .then wired up and solder joints covered with heat shrink . so everything can be lifted out for servicing. ecept the firing switch which is glued to the side of the case. so everything is hidden ...just slide up a little to expose the usb charger board and the up and down bottons which I use very seldom..the slide over is leather covered . in the next one I will not use the angled switch it complicates things a lot . on top would be just as ergonomical to. fiberglass boxes are fun to build!
the batterys are two turnagy 1200 ..round at 15 c ... small and vape all day + . oh jes I made the little bezel for the readout from formica to glue to the leather before gluing to the case slide over .

Looks good. That Corean will take abuse! Little known fact: I buy 510-eGo connectors just for the center positive pin. :D

A question: You say the fuse is on the negative... What purpose does that serve? I've only ever known the fuse to be on positive ; closest to the battery. Negative is ground (although not shared ground with DNA), and just curious what made you go this route.

hi dougiestyle !
neg or pos wont matter the same current flows in either side to complete the circuit. the fuse has a convenient place right at the neg battery wire . that is before the dna20.
jes the corean is so easy to cut with a bandsaw and easy to sand or file . another + just had an e juce leak on it no staining ..it even improved the looks of it . and got it for next to nothing from a floor and counter top shop .
have fun.
