My First Post to ECF

Have been a big fan of this forum for about a month now, and finally decided to register.

With little research, I purchased my first kit back in October 2010 (KR 808 auto) with pre-filled cartos. I was quite happy with the setup initially, and continued to replenish my supply from the same vendor (Prime Vapor). But when my last order of cartos "ran dry" prematurely (or so it seemed) - and nearly drove me to purchase a pack of analogs - I decided it was at least time to explore the option of refilling cartos with ejuice. After receiving my first order from FSUSA (with great time service, I might add), I cleaned out my last batch of pre-filled cartos and transitioned very easily to dripping and "condom refilling" the cartos. No more running out of "vape", thank God !

At this point, I am quite happy refilling cartos but I am looking for a replacement or supplement to the KR808 batteries - specifically, batteries with longer life between charges. I have been following some of the recent forum threads on the Go-Go unit and the Elegant Easy XXL 1300 (thanks to SSV2's review of the latter), and these appear to be some good options for me to explore. Given some current comments from Go-Go reviewers regarding issues with the recharging, I was leaning towards the Elegant. However, I found that Cig Easy is currently out of stock on these - and I also now see from DonDaVoomVape's post of yesterday that Cig Easy may be discontinuing the XXL in favor of the Go-Go (?!). So I guess I'll keep tabs on this and also look around some more for other replacement options.

As a "noob", I want to close my 1st post by saying thanks to all the ECF members for the great information and support provided to the vaping community.

P.S. A special thanks to MistressNomad for her great series of videos posted in the Newbie section ... I didn't even think about refilling a used carto until after I watched the vids ! And also for suggesting FSUSA as an ejuice vendor.

i just got my Riva today from Liberty Flights and it is awesome so far. it's got the long-life battery you are looking for. what i really love about it, is that unlike my des901 and rn4081, i don't have to keep tweaking around with it to get it to work. the draw is perfect, the vapor is quite good and i do not mind the thicker shape at all.
i'm glad i listened to the folks on this board. they really know what they are talking about.

Welcome to the forum "Blind Effort" as an official member!

I recently have tried the new 1300mAh GO-GO from Cig Easy and now understand why the Elegant 1300mAh battery is being replaced by this more advanced technology....it is in my opinion now much improved in contrast to the GO-GO battery that was released late last year, in addition the GO-Carts are unlike any other large capacity cartomizers that I have ever tried in the past!

A full review is coming soon... Keep up with the research as to discover what may work best for you! It really does come down to what suits your individual needs and personal preferences! :)
