I, like you, started out with cheap crap of which at the time I thought was the cream of the crop.
I used those stardust tanks and an ego C battery... well needless to say, that last only a couple months before I decided to switch my choice of tank. I really hated those darn stardusts for too many reasons. I went out and bought myself a Kanger mini and that went well for a while until I accidentally broke the glass and had a hard time finding a replacement at any of my local B&M's (I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for one online). So I moved up to a Kanger Protank II. By now i'm thinking wow well I sure am high up on the mountain. Later on got really tired of that because of the lack of flavor and lack of vapor I seemed to run into compared to the way my man's was doing for him. (By now he's totally running on RBA's and mech mod's) So out of curiosity I finally ended up with my own mech mod and a Kayfun Clone!!!! WOW was that like seeing through a clean glass!!
I am now happy to say that I vape this Kayfun like a freight train day in and day out. Finally have mastered a good ohm on the coil that I am comfortable with which is usually around a 1.8-2.0
So glad to see more and more around me getting off those horrid and constricting starter kits and really joining the party so to speak!!
Thanks for sharing and yes HAPPY vaping TO ALL!!!
Yeah I have a "real" mod now, a Sigelei Zmax V3 Flat-top, and it's great, especially since I just got a brushed stainless KFL+ (clone, Tobeco) to put on it, and it's just amazing. I started out with Joyetech too, but I went for the eRoll, because it JUST HAD TO be the size and shape of a cigarette. I think it took me about 2 wks to get tired of all the battery swapping and refilling every 15 mins.
I don't figure the eRoll was a waste, because it got me to stop smoking, and for that, I worship the thing, though I have it put away now, saving it for someone else who might want to give it a shot; maybe my son. But I'm glad I discovered how much better vaping could be, because staying with it and off those #$^%!!! cigarettes really hasn't been difficult at all, and for that I say HALLELUJAH! I'm having a good time, learning new stuff, "meeting" all kinds of new people, buying all kinds of stuff but still saving considerably over what I would have spent on cigarettes, and hey, not smoking!!!
