Hello forum, Im so excited, I just ordered my first Kayfunlite plus this morning. It will be my first rba. I have been doing alot of reading and watching tons of fun videos. I know I have seen it here or on the videos, but Im not sure what size drill bit to be wrapping my microcoil. I will be aiming for about 1.2-1.4 ohms. I have 28g and 30g wire. I will figure out the wraps, but I think people are using 1/16 drill bits can someone confirm this or give me another size? I will be going to the hardware store after work to pick up some drill bits but just wanted to make sure I pick up the right size :) Thanks for all your help

Remember that micro coils are a style that have practical application. Purists stick to under 1/16 and between 8 and 12 wraps using 28g and below. But, and here's the good bit, you can get some of the benefits of a micro using higher resistance wire and larger inside diameters. Those benefits are important to new builders, I.e. less shorts when the coils are fully compressed and faster coil heating times and greater surface area contact with the wick for more efficient juice evaporation for bigger clouds. Don't just follow the dogma, understand the principals and enjoy your vape all the more. :)

This +1, I picked a couple of the Tobeco Kayfun lite + units last weekend and I already have a little box of used coils from my experiments. I've found that a quality coil makes all the difference. Minute changes seem to alter the final outcome, same goes for coil height and wick material /placement.
I'm running smooth on 28 Kanthal, 18 (i think) wraps at 1.5mm with a cotton wick.
