I started with the DiD clone and then had a Genesis Style by Van and an AGA T2 and finally got a Z Atty-U and I love it.

I have tried Kanthal 28,30 and 32 on 325 and 400 ss mesh.

I recently stopped by Mountain Oak Vapors and was just hanging out shooting the bull and one of the said to try 32 guage double stranded on 400ss mesh.

It works amazing and you have to TRY to get a hot spot.

Take a drill, put any drill bit in there, cut 2 pieces of 32 gauge Kanthol and wrap the end around the drill bit. Hold the other ends of the wires and fire the drill. Do this until the wires are tightly wrapped around each other.

In the Z Atty, there is an insulator that I have taken out because since the wick is already oxidized, it is kind of pointless. Roll a nice fat wick and properly oxidize and then wrap your 32 gauge dual wrap just like normal.

I wrapped a 6/5 wrap for about 1.7 ohms using this dual 32 method. A 5/4 wrap (which I will do next time would probably be around 1.4/1.5 ohms).

This thing hits amazing and I did not have the first hot spot to fuss with.

I am sure there have been threads about this but I figured I would pass on a nice trick I just learned to those who may be struggling to get their rba set up. There are a few extra steps but this was easy and I like the vape better than a single wire of any gauge.

I am no electrician so it seems that it is just experimentation.

32 double at 6/5 is 1.7ohms
Guessing 5/4 would be about 1.4ohms
Guessing 4/3 would about 1.0 ohms (close to single wrap of 28 gauge at 4/3 wraps)

My personal sweet spot is 1.5 ohms on cartos, vivi's and RBA's hence, next timeI wrap this up I will do a 5/4 wrap.

If you have a hex key use that. Just cut a single long strand of wire, fold it in half to make a U, capture the end of the U on the end of the hex key (hex key in drill), and then drill/screw (twist) the wire holding the other end with a pair of pliers. Very fast, very effective, perfect twist.

I still prefer true 28/30 gauge to twisted though, but it works in a pinch if you don't have any or don't have the cash to get some.
