Thanks all. My apologies. Should not have posted in this forum. Shouldn't be talkin sub ohm in newbie forum. I have been researching for 6 months before buying this RDA and still nervous. While the 0.8 ohm is a great vape, 1.2 to 1.5 is also good without the "pucker" factor. Would never go below 0.7 personally.

Just know your batteries. Go sub ohm only if you know that your battery can take the exact amps your pumping into them and you know that your coil is solid and will not drop resistance... and even if you know it wont drop in resistance.. check your coil often.

I agree with you OP, you can get a great vape with a standard resistance coil (of your own making), normal IMR batteries and devices, and a bit more research. Ohm's law (tutorials, calculators, videos on vaping), battery safety (battery university, videos, tutorials, ECF threads, etc.), making coils (videos, ECF posts, tutorials), test equipment (multimeter, voltage meter, etc.), materials knowledge (kanthal, coil materials, resistance per foot, etc.) are requirements before you get into sub Ohm coils (.7 Ohms is way too low until you have knowledge, experience and mastery in the previous areas mentioned). Safety is always the first rule, and sub-Ohms is the last place you go to (if ever), not the first RBA experience. You may already have these arrows in your quiver, and, if so, great. If not, work on your archery. Good luck!
