Hi ECF!

So I am ready to give up cigs and getting into vaping after I tried my friends eGo C. I am quite a heavy smoker, 30 lights a day when I stay home. I did some reading myself but some things are still unclear to me. This is the setup I am looking to get:

2x eGo C Twist 1000 mAh
2x eGo C Twist 650 mAh

I will want to use a clearomizer tank on these for convenience and I have read good things about the Vision (Mini) ViVi Nova. The thing that I am not clear about is how long do these tanks and the parts inside last? I believe the part that wears in the tank is called a "head" and this will wear and needs to be replaced over time. How long do they last?
Are there any other parts that need replacing in the tanks? How durable are the tanks, will the easily break in your pocket?

Next, resistance. I am really not clear on which resistance heads I should be ordering, or how many replacement head. I believe the type of e-juice you vape has something to do with it. Can someone please shine some light on this. I will probably not be vaping any tobacco flavored juice.

I will want to order enough supplies for 6 - 12 months of vaping as I am living in Thailand and supplies are hard to get here.

Oh yea, around how much e-juice would a 30 cig a day smoker go through in a week?

Looking forward to your replies, hope I can get my order in and start vaping soon!

I'm new to vaping myself so I cant comment on how long the heads last but I've been working on the farm for the past 2 days with my eGo twist and vivi nova mini in my pocket with no breakage although I am mindful of it. I would advise getting thishttp://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=68_138&products_id=945 to help stabilize the mini nova and it will look better. also if scared that the tank will break they have tubes for the mini nova as well.

Get a 5pack or more of 2.4ohm heads, that'll last you 1-2 months depending on how you vape. Optimal voltage for that will be 3.8-4.2.. The heads usually last a couple weeks before they start tasting dull. Just keep them wet.

The plastic tube is pretty durable, just as durable as anything else from what I've noticed. Obviously if you drop it on the hard floor you risk breaking it. You can get the colored metal tanks if you're worried about durability.

I use twists exclusively, paired with either Stardust clearos or vivi novas(preferred).

I have yet to burn out a coil on a Mini Nova, and I have been using one for 4 weeks. The 2nd one that I started at the same time as that one I had to toss because the wick became frayed where it goes under the head to the coil. I suspect the same thing will happen with this other one.

Replacement wicks, if you don't make them yourself, run a bit less then $3.00. So, even if you kill one every other week, it's still a good value. I haven't had any cracks or leaks or otherwise with the tanks, but get a metal tank if you are concerned of such things.

As far as Juice, I vape 2 - 4ml a day, depending on the day. I was about a 20 cig a day smoker. It's hard to say how much you would vape, but if you figure 5ml a day, you should have enough of a supply to get a good idea of how fast you are vaping it up?

Good Luck!!

Thanks for all the replies so far guys!
I am liking the idea of getting a metal tube for the tanks for when I am outside.

Any recommendations on webshops that sell genuine Twist's (in blue and black), thread sleeves, and the latest version of the Nova's?

Also is there anything like a docking station for the Twist's to charge them in?
And which charger do I need, will a Genuine Joyetech Mega Fast 510 500mah Charge be good for both my 650's and 1000's?

I got all mine from GotVapes. They had the Twists, sleeves, Nova's, Mini Nova's and the chargers all available there. Not the cheapest, but genuine products, not knock-offs.

I'm not sure about the 500mah charger, I use the 420mah that I bought when I bought the batteries. You might want to consider 2 chargers (or a 2nd if you can use the 500mah). My backup charger saved me when I could not for the life of me find the one I was using (I take it in the car and to the office, so the potential for forgetting it somewhere is great).

As far as keeping a filled Nova in your pocket ... I have done it, for short periods, with nothing bad happening, but I wouldn't say it's a great idea if it can be avoided. Might be better keeping a little bottle of juice in your pocket to refill, and an empty back-up nova in your car.

Hi nhoumess, don't forget you can go to Joyetech and Visionecigar websites. I dont believe you can use that 510 charger with the Twist.
Gotvapes and www.litecigeusa.com both sell genuine Vision and Joyetech.

my suggestion would be The kgo VV the mini vivi nova or the mega tank with the adapeter to clean up the look. theres alot of reasont i would suggest this
1 its a VV device 3.0-6.0 more adjustable then the twists so you can find your sweet spot
2 it has a lcd screen so your not guessing where the volts are at
3 battery light
4 you can use it while its charging so no need to buy 2 of them
5 its 25.99 bucks and comes with a charger and it charges in about 45 mins
6 it come from hoosierecig.com and the shipping is super fast got all my stuff with my custom juices in 3 days.
7 spend 50 bucks = free shipping

heres a video if you want to see it and see what the adapter makes it look like and what the vivi nova mega looks like and see how it vapes like

Kgo vv Battery 3.0-6.0 volts review - YouTube

I payed 25.99 for the bat and came with the charger
and 12.49 for the mega vivi nova

the card I got with my order has a coupon code on it for 5% off
the code is 5off

the vivi nova v3 gives a great hit and hold alot easy to fill and you can rebuild it if you want to easy.
Im getting a great clean taste from it. I love the nova no leaks
kgo bat link
KGO V.V. 650mAh

the vivi nova mega link comes with extra heads so you can find out witch one you perfer
Vision Nova Tank Clearomizer V3 Mega

the vivinova mini link same size at the battery comes with extra heads so you can find out witch one you perfer
Vision Nova Tank Clearomizer V3 Slim

adapter just to make it look better if you want to do not need this to use them
Adapter for Dual Coil Tanks

i was a pack and a half to 2 packs a day smoker smoking reds not lights so you might want more around the 12 mg lvl or 18 mg nec lvl
as far as juices go i use Dekang red use 24 mg and get one hell of a throat hit at 6 volts had to turn it down to 5.2 volts.
you can get that from hoosierecig.com to 10.99 bucks for 50 ml. and if you watch the video you will see how much vapor it makes even being a 100% pg juice. the caramel cappuccino i used in the video is a 60/40 mic 24 mg nic and its great to.

Since you are in Thailand, I would seriously consider using Health Cabin for your needs. They are located in China and have everything you want to get and their prices are about the cheapest you are going to find. They sell geniune Joytech and Vision products.

However, if I were you, I would get the 900mah batteries instead of the 650mah because they will last longer and are less than 1/4" longer than the 650mah batteries. Whereas, the 1000mah batteries are super long and you might want to look at the specs on those.

I only started vaping one week ago but I have a similar setup and am really enjoying it. My notes so far...

I have the Vivi Novas (not minis) on the Twist 1000.

- So far, no leaks. I have a little headphone bag that I carry a second tank (with a different flavour inside), extra bottles and heads (just in case...)
- Switched out the 1.8 heads for 2.4 and they're working great.
- I burned out one head after four days but I think it was either my fault (from burning it dry) or a faulty head (haven't been back to the store yet). The rest are working great.
- I was smoking 30 a day (ish) and I've gotten through about 30ml in a week, but I did have a few spillages (all over my keyboard  )
- I also had an issue with my first tank in that the bottom screw seized in the tube. I'm not sure if it was my fault from over tightening or not but now I'm super careful when screwing everything together.
-What everyone else said!

Hey guys, quick question. My buddies plane is landing in 2 hours so I should have all my gear soon.
I was wondering;

1. Do the Twist batteries come charged?
2. I only ordered the USB chargers. As these are a slower method of charging than a wall charger I was wondering if I could use the USB wall adapter from my iPhone to charge the Twists.
3. Do I have to fully deplete the batteries and then fully charge them for the first few cycles?

usually at least50-70% charged.
I only ordered the USB chargers.
Could plug directly into your PC but if it's old you could fry the MB.

Yes
Do I have to fully deplete the batteries and then fully charge them for the first few cycles?
No. In fact to extend the life of batts they recommend not letting them drain completely before recharging.
Have fun :D
