My first time using cotton as a wick

Until an hour ago I've been using Ekowool (never used normal silica), I got my Helios and figured it deserved better than silica. I put two 1 Ohm coils made with 28 Gauge Kanthal in it and wicked it with twisted pieces of a cotton ball. My first impression, HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF vaping, this is how it should be. I feel like when I first tried an rda, the flavor, the vapor, the TH, its all awesome!

I just started uses cotton balls. I tried it once before and hated it, just didnt work for me. After having the cotton cheese cloth spit at me to many times I rebuilt my coil and tried the cotton balls again. Loving it now. No spiting, good taste and extremely easy to use. cheese cloth is in the garbage

I was hesitant to try it because I didn't feel like I'd get the density right, it was a lot easier than I thought.

The beauty of cotton is you can experiment. Always vape thru the first 5 - 10 hits it may take for a cotton wick to break in before making any judgements. If after those break in hits its still off, it's so easy to pull the wick, get a new piece of cotton, roll it a little looser or a little tighter, to find the sweet spot.

You always want it good and saturated before hitting it. Just wet it real good and vape it like you stole it. No need to wait

Am gonna build my first cotton coil tonight, trying it on my protank to start

I saturated it with a 50/50 0nic unflavored mix before I put any juice on it to make sure it was wicking right for the way I vape. It worked so I threw on some juice and started vaping.

Cool thanks, have postponed the cotton wick till tomorrow night, had a bit too much whiskey and too lazy to do anything besides drink more and vape on the current setup.

I think I'd have trouble rebuilding a protank it's too small for me haha. That's why I got the Helios, nice big deck for building coils.
