Hey guys, it's a great day to be vaping because I happened to get a good triple digit paycheck this period AND my favorite vape lounge had an authentic JD Mods Turtle Ship V2 in stainless steel. I walked in planning to try out some Space Jam juice, and ended skipping out the door like a schoolgirl 200 smackers poorer
, but well worth it. It wasn't in rough condition either, everything is in-tact, the wide brass pins, the white delrin insulator, the oh so silky threads (feel like they have wd40 on them, I'm not used to that) and all the flawless engravings. I wouldn't have cared even if it was in less-than-perfect condition because it's more the idea that I own the original design is what's cool to me. They volt drop tested it for me, and with a .2ohm coil it had a .14 volt drop, not to shabby and I plan to keep it that way.
Well the point of this thread is to ask if it's a smart idea to "upgrade" the authentic, with "enhanced" clone parts. I've had an hcigar V2 clone for a bit now, that's pretty amazing because of the magnetic switch I swapped it with, and the silver plated copper contacts it came with. I know technically it would make the authentic Geobukseon better (although the firing switch is already what I like, I can't complain for sure lol) but something just doesn't feel right about doing that. It's like throwing a better honda civic engine into a classic car ya know?
-What do you guys think? Keep the authentic as is, or "enhance" it.
I'm thinking I'll just carefully swap the parts and see how it feels, there's definitely something special about this mod though as it is.
