My Glass Bottles are Leaking!!!! GRRRRR!

I put all my juices in glass bottles....

I'm irritated because when I shake the bottles they always leak. Even if I don't shake them they still leak from the cap. I make sure the cap is on extremely tight but it still doesn't work.

I'm hoping someone has a suggestion because I placed a HUGE order of the glass bottles from Specialty Bottle.

I know that there are different cap options when ordering bottles. The upgraded caps make a better seal.

phenolic cone lined caps. The black cone lined caps help to create a seal helping to prevent leakage.

I got the glass bottles also. The caps come with some type of paper up inside them. Over a short period of time, the paper started to adhere to the top of the bottle instead of the cap. I got tired of this, and found some arts & crafts foam at my local Walmart like this.....

I cut the foam to size, to fit up inside my bottle caps, and all has been right with the world since!

Hey there Kay! I wonder if that foam is safe to use inside the cap?


I was hoping there would be an simple solution. That would be too easy. Oh well.
This is a pain in the ..... I have the kind with the paper crud under the top too.
I have no clue why this annoys me so much but it really really does.
