So frustrated.....first off got to vent works ......ed I hate my job schools rough meanwhile planning a wedding ceremony....soooo when I get time to work on my mod I'm slightly distracted to say the least. The dna 20 was not working couldn't figure out why while doing so I dropped it and the screen broke. I was ...... so I continued on and mocked everything up. Turns out my battery holder is slightly bigger than I though and I got sent flat top batteries. Can't a guy catch a break. I'm admitting this cause I promise I'm smarter than this lol. By the time I leave school and finish work my mind is else where so the DNA is my fault and the batteries well what can I do. Anyone need some 2100mah 18650's lol I ordered a 6000 mah battery the same that's in the girley mod. So waiting on the battery and new DNA....since all that happened I figure improve the paint job haha. It wasn't bad and I was going to leave it since its going to be a daily driver take to school work get scratched up. However since I have been delayed why not sand and make it look better I got nothing but time.

I have hacked espresso machines, coffee roasters, computers, arduino boards, Mods, stereos, SousVide controllers, rooted cell phones, and all sorts of other little projects. Hosed my fair share. Sometimes I had to fall back and regroup, other times just walk away for a while.
Tomorrow is a new day..... And this extra sweat equity will make that Mod even sweeter when you get it done.
Now why in the he!! did you repaint it, the first paint job looked pretty good from the pics?

It was good but eh could be better haha some how some fibers got in the paint and bugged me so sanded reprimed and paint he he perfection
So while i wait on parts i have been playing with my tanks.Got my Russian 91 in today and love it. Easy to build great flavor and very adjustable. So did some testing for my lovely picky lady...out of the novas the I go dripper a pt 3 a kayfun 3.1the agat3 and the Russian her silly .... likes the pt3. Said draw too tight drilled it out and loves it. Cracked me up guess the kayfun and Russian are mine now lol women are weird. Painted the mod got everything prepped and ready to go for the new board. Also waiting on the new 510 and lipo pack. Going to slow this project down patience is kicking in and getting it right this time.....breath nick breath haha
Yeah, mine doesnt like the TGT/R91/Kayfun genre, she insists on sticking with the GKMF20 gennys.
So what's up with soldering the lipos just don't short it out.? How hard is it to remove from the case
Some are easy to strip naked, others are more resistant (like women).
They can be different in the way they solder the tabs from one mfg to another. Some solder the tabs together free hand, others use a small pcb.
This one used a PCB so I just unsoldered the bullet connectors from the pcb and then soldered my wires in its place. First I put a wire nut on the other (loose) ends of the wires so they wouldnt short against anything.
Yeah, dont short them out or you might have a bad day. As long as you got a 3.7 bat all you have to do is solder the wires to it. If you got a 7.4v or above then you have to reconfigure all the cells to be in parallel electrically, I am trying to do that to one now and it is a lot more challenging.

I have 6 of them!!!! They were my atty of choice until Bap turned me on to the TaifunGT, now they collect dust.
They are probably the best genny style atty I have ever tried though.

So turning lemons into lemonade....board is shot so Been practicing thank god i did. Realised my butane iron sucks burned part of it and got to cold on another part. Off to radioshack for an iron and got something different...a helping hand uh thing....Magnifying glass and holder and let me say that stuff is awesome even helps disipate heat. Might get made fun of but i love it. So heres practice shots what do you guys think of this soldering.

lol....sounds like a bad day. But you never know with Evolv, they have over the top customer service. Shoot them an email and see what they say, the worst they can say is your SOL....which you were already planning on anyway.
So this is where im at....is it stupid i moubted the 510 so i can see the russian logo from the front the tank is almost perfectly flush its a hair off litterally but i can live with that lol next is epoxy the charge port. Was going ti do the buttons but decided to wait till i get my ther parts in. Waiting on new board a 6000 mah lipo nce i get those ill SLOWLY and patiently assemble it. Got the helping hands and magnifier and new iron so i can be sure i get it right this time. Ok on to a few pics what do u guys think...
