Hi everyone - My wife and I received our first e-cigs 5 days ago, and after charging them up and reading as many posts on here as I could - we gave them a try. Our first impressions of vaping vs smoking are as follows:

1: We both wanted what looked like real cigs so we went with micro's from anycigarette.com - I think I will be ordering something that provides a bit more vapor soon.
2: My only complaint is the vapor production of these is next to nothing compared to some vids I've seen posted here. I knew we were risking less vapor buying the smaller models, but we really wanted these to look like analogs (and they do).
3: I was not really impressed by the taste of the cartridges that came with these cigs, but I had ordered some RY4 from myvaporstore.com which came 1 day after the e-cigs did. I refilled a cartridge with RY4 and I was in heaven. I am amazed how good it tastes.
4: It is a little bit more work to smoke these than analogs, but well worth it. I fill up enough cartridges at night to last the wife and I the next day, and it only takes a few minutes.
5: We like the taste, we like the throat hit, but it seems they just don't make much visible vapor - but all things considered....
6: WE HAVEN'T HAD A CIGARETTE IN 4 DAYS !!!! and I was a 1 1/2 pack a day and wife was 1 pack a day smoker. I've jonesed a few times for an anlog, but I just puff up a few times, and I'm fine.
7: My totally newbie opinion is that these things are great - I'm no longer a smoker - but stay away from the micro/mini series unless you want really light vapor production.

Thanks to everyone here who convinced me to try this with the hundreds of posts I read...

No vapor when you exhale doesn't mean you're not getting the "nic fix"... atleast in my limited experience.

If I "fake" smoke, or just mount inhale like a cigar there's lot's of vapor, but if I inhale like an analog there's no vapor at all when I exhale.

i agree totally with the first part. i usually drip, and even then - particularly if the atomizer has been sitting a while unused - sometimes my first hit will produce hardly any vapor at all ~ but i can feel the nic rush, sometimes even moreso than when i get a lot of visual effects. very satisfying, especially first thing in the morn with a hot cup of caffeine.

Yea, morning caffeine has always been my trigger for my first cig of the day - First sip and I must light up - that is the time I was worried the most about switching to vaping - but I must tell you - these have been enough even to satisfy that morning nicotine craving. I know we are still getting nicotine even with the limited vapor these produce - I can feel it - I would just like a bigger cloud - supports the feel of smoking more for me. I can get bigger clouds by puffing hard a few times on it then 2 or 3 long slow draws - but I'd like to be able to get the same "hit" with one nice drag - maybe I'm just searching for the holy grail - I don't know - this is my first experience with these, but certainly not my last...

along the lines of what strayling above mentioned - add a little glycerin to your juice. it doesn't take much to create a noticeable increase in vapor. i find it can also add to the "body" of the texture ~ feels thicker. i don't use it too much myself because it does alter the taste somewhat (sweeter), but it's fun to mess with. ;)

And don't forget to take something else then 'cigarette-look' into account once you are ready for a next purchase of another model - you want to have backups anyway, very much so in fact, if you plan to go completely away from analogs, as you two have done (great!). Pen-models, screwdriver-models, cigars, (lady-)pipe: look at them all seriously, also taking into account just how often you want to be changing/filling cartridges for example - there are some real nice ones out there! :)
