Hi Everyone, i have had my evo now for about 32hrs and just wanted to share my opinions with you all

1. Quality fit and finish

Very impressed with the build quality of this e-cig, it has a really solid tough feel to it that hopefully will withstand a few knocks, the metal connection between battery and atomizer couples very snugly and the longer than usual battery thread really brings solid stability.
I got a USB charger with my kit and the quality of this is also really nice, the connection end is metal and looks like a little silver bullet, a nice change from cheap plastic i thought.

2. Battery life and charge times

These batteries come already charged so no waiting the usual 12hrs before you can play, now i have read the claims by intellicig for the 8-12 hour battery life and was skeptical to be honest with you, but to my shock the first battery lasted just over 8hrs and the second one was just under 9hrs 8-o now i know it will depend on your vaping habits but i would say i'm a medium to heavy vaper so this really impressed me.
Now the part i just dont understand, i plugged my battery into the charger and within an hour it was fully charged (constantly lit led on the end) and i know it wasn't putting any more juice into the battery because the connecting end of the usb charger was cool, i had noted this gets warm while charging (i'm guessing it cuts off when fully charged to protect the battery) and it lasted a good 8hrs again after that 1 hour charge.

3. Vapour output and cart life

The vapour output on the evo in my opinion is very good, not quite onto my DSE901 but very pleasing, i have the larger cart style and i would say its approx 4-5 cigs worth, ok now here's the thing that dissapointed me with the evo, the draw is very hard, i'm not talking blue in the face hard, but i thought it was a bit severe, and another thing i noticed was the larger carts go all the way to the base of the cart holder, leaving a very small space between cart and draw hole, be very careful topping off with this thing or your going to get a mouthful, yuk, maybe i have a faulty atomizer resulting in this hard draw but looking at the vapour output i would say not.

4. Conclusion

I have to admit i really love this e-cig, battery life is astounding, vapour and throat hit is good, but the hard draw was a little dissapointing to me, stick a 901 atomizer on this thing and i think your pretty close to perfection, if any evo owners can comment on the draw of thiers i would appreciate it, hope this review was a help to somebody and apologies if you find it a bit long winded (i do go on a bit i know)

p.s my first review ladies and gents so go easy please ;)

thanks for looking.

Hi Womblebat

Thanks for the great review :D its always great to get feedback, as always we are trying to make things better everyday.

Please be aware we hear your message on the draw, some of our customers comment this sometimes gets better over time, but we are working on a new version of the vapouriser to improve this.

PS I am correct in understanding that as a supplier I shouldn't post on review tread? Is this correct?

Best Regards

The draw is a bit heavier than the 901 (especially with a fresh cartridge) but I find it seems to have a positive feel. Some resistance is good, IMO. Its not the same feeling as a clogged atomiser or dodgy pressure switch that causes sore cheeks from trying to draw too hard... Regarding vapour, the Evo consistently outperforms my 901's but what is especially noticeable is the physical hit from the vapour - it is far closer to a real smoking experience, in my opinion.

David, I think if you are in the suppliers user group (you probably should be) you won't be able to post in this forum.

I think they are the small ones - they have a long bit of plastic sticking out of the back of them. They are mostly menthol very high strength - I think they recently said only the tobacco flavours were in the bigger size.

The leakage seems to be an issue with a few of these cigs that have a separate cartridge in the mouthpiece (I get it with another supermini I've got). I would just say if you refill, don't overfill it - don't have a pool at the top of the cartridge. When its happening, I've taken out the inner cartridge and wiped it down with a paper towel to blot up the excess liquid from the outside of it. I've then rinsed out the mouthpiece under the tap and blown it dry. Then put it back together. Its quite quick to do and seems to sort it.

I'm very confused by the new cartridges. I don't know whether mine are the new ones as I have no old ones to compare. Intellicig put a production date on all of them, womblebat, can you tell me if the new ones have a different date? I have one with PRO: 20081212 which is the same as one which is produced 20081112 (I would assume this is YYYYDDMM)
