So, I've been seriously vaping for a month. Stinkies are for the most part a thing of the past. Wife and kids totally support vaping, vice smoking. That means my vape funds increased. Which put me on the great gear chase I'm sure you all know.
I started on a cig-alike, moved on to an i30W with Nautilus, and now I have a Coolfire IV with an ISub tank. I use them all.
What I did Wrong
Upgrading too fast and not understanding the differences well enough. Hitting 12mg Nic in a subohm tank at 25W almost put me on the floor, but damn, did it taste good.
"Ooo Shiny" Disease. I want that mod because it looks cool. Yeah, I got lucky, I can use the CoolFire for just about everything. But I already had two i30W's.
What I Did Right
I stopped what I was doing and started reading here about subohming, and not subohming. That each has it's place. Have a daily driver, a bedside setup, and a nice sub adventure after dinner...as dessert so to speak.
Stop buying anything but juice and consumables. I don't have the patience to do coils. Its not going to happen. My day job is bad enough with tedious electronical stuff.
Mix Juices that make sense. I figured, what could go wrong? So I mixed some arctic ice (mentholly) with some Carolina smooth tobacco. And I got what I think is damned close to a Newport cigarette! Some ideas are just bad, so don't mix licorice and chocolate.
Subohming is a great next step to chasing the perfect vape for me, but I'm not sure if I dived in too fast. I figure if I keep reading all the wisdom here, it'll be ok.
JUST NOT BUYING ANYMORE GEAR. I hope. Maybe. We'll see on payday.
