Help what did I buy wrong with my coils

I have been making my coils on my own for a while now for my kanger aero or nautilus tanks but I went the other day to the local vape shop where I get my wire and got 32 kanthal AI wire and I usually use 4-6 wraps and get a 1.8 to 2.0 ohms reading but I can not get any higher than .07 1.0 what in the world am I doing wrong? Or did I buy the wrong thing? I thought it was the same as I have always bought but I can't make any of my coils and they are all but one burnt out please help me.

Cut a foot out and see what size wire you bought cause its sure not 32 kanthal from what you've said.

Agreed re above from alterurego. I've bought, what a shop called 28g kanthal and it did not turn out to be 28g nor kanthal. I only order my wire from Lightning Vapes from now on.

I am using same tools and I took the package with me to the store I what I was out of to make sure it was right

If you bought an entIre spool it should say right on the label what the gauge is. Does the wire feel the same or does it feel thicker? Do your coils look larger? These would both be sighns that the wire you bought is a lower guage.

I'm just assuming you have a multimeter. Cut a foot of the wire and test end to end the resistance and compare it to the last column of the chart. The first column is the wire gauge associated with the ohm resistance of the last column.

It should be about 8 or 9 wraps for a 2ohm coil.

I used to make Vivi nova and Davide Glassomizer coils with 32AWG and I used 10 wraps to get 2.4ohm coils. (using the biggest screwdriver that would fit between the slots in the 'head')

I have looked at it and all it says is 32 kanthal a1 wire and I have tries a little 1/5 Allen wrench an a small drill bit at 8-10 wraps and they are inky reading 1.0

Are you using an ohm reader to measure the resistance? Some ohm meters notify you when there's a short but others just show a really low reading. I'd check for a short.

The ohm reader I had played out so I am using my MVP I tried it on my MVP it read 7 and I have another MVP I brought out and it says the same reading and my aspire is new coil and on the MVP it reads 1.8 so that is right reading
