My hubby and I are both trying to go to e-cigs from analogs (I think that is what they are called). We both started with a Mistic from our local truck stop then we ordered the SmokeTip starter kit. I find that we are both doing great with the e-cig. I ordered some juice and got it today. I am finding that I like the flavored better than the regular tobacco flavors. I need to get some refillable carto's but not sure which ones to get. I think the SmokeTip is the same as an k8081-d but I'm not sure what about the Mistic. I am still researching the Mistic. I do tend to like the Mistic the best because it seems to have more vapor and TH.

Any advice on either one of these would be great. I wish I would have found this site before we bought our kits. It is so full of information.

Hi Deanne and Welcome to ECF.

Here is a thread that might help. I read through it and it seems that the Mistic has either KR808D-2 or 901 threading, so a KR808D-1 carto will fit, but you can't tighten it all the way down or it will constrict the airflow. But you CAN use them effectively.http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/227152-mistic-ecigarette-questions.html

Grab some Boge 808D-1 Cartomizer (3.0 ohm) here Electronic Cigarette - Cartomizers - Boge Cartomizers Use the coupon code october20 for 20% off your order.

You are about to get swamped with suggestions to upgrade. You have been forewarned. ;)

I agree they do appear to be one of those connection types. I tried to look it up but could not confirm the connection type.
As far as upgrading goes as long as your existing setup works to keep you off of analogs then it's a good one. when your ready to upgrade we'll be here for ya. Oh and welcome to the ECF.

Thank you for the welcome.

I do know that the SmokeTip has a male connection on the battery and the Mistic has a Female connection on the battery. Based on this how can I use the same carto with both?

Batface and FreeFire thank you for the welcome.

I am totally confused now (my usual state of being). What is the difference in a 2.0 and 3.0 Carto?

The numbers indicate the resistance of the cartomizer. 2.0 is low, and allows more current. This results in a warm vapor with lots of throat hit and vapor production. 3.0 is standard, and produces a cooler vapor, less throat hit and vapor production.

There are cartomizers out that run as low as 1.5 ohm and as high as 3.4 ohm, that I have seen. It's one way you can customize your personal vaping experience.
