My KgO package arrived today.. I am pumped and Vaping already !!

First of all, thank you all for your kind and encouraging words in my earlier posts.

There are some very nice folks here and I have sincerely felt welcomed after day 1, and I sincerely appreciate it.


As those of you that read my earlier posts , I ordered a KgO kit and some tinker toys last week from Hoosiers and it arrived today.


Here are the exact contents of my order ( for those that didnt read that post) :

After unboxing, reading and figuring out what was what and looking at the prefilled cartridges that came with the kit, I decided to load up a Cartomizer ( via the side drip method as many of you have described) with some of the Mt. Dew juice.
I took my time.. Drip, soak, drip, soak, drip, soak .. Until a small bead of juice atop the padding would no longer soak up..
I left it be a while, and took a ride to the store.
Upon my arrival home I checked to see if the the extra drop was still there, and it was.. So I figured It is good and wet.

I used a Q-tip to wipe up the extra drop and dab the wick material of any excess..

I attached a big belly tip to the cartomizer , and then attached it to the KgO.
I noticed that the cone sleeve doesnt fit over cartomizer with the big tip on it... No biggy..

Slide the cone on the cartomizer first .. screw in the cartomizer , then screw the cone.. Perfect.

I must admit.. The "Frying" noise was a bit alarming with the first button push.. ( The $10 disposo e-cig I bought was silent, but it did produce some vapor ....)

But I heard this noise on some KgO vids on youtube.. So I assume it is the way is should be...

So.. The moment of truth...

I am sorta "retrohaling" at the moment.. Just inhaling the tail end of the drag.. I did take a few deep inhales to see about this TH sensation.. It is actually very nice.

Retrohaling is very popular amongst cigar and pipe smokers.. as you can really pick up subtle tastes and sensations from the differing blends that way.. It seems to be working well here too. The juice does taste like Mt. Dew.. especially on the exhale.

I Like Mt. Dew, But dont drink it much , because it will ZIP me up with caffeine. ( Especially at night..)

As many of you probably did or do.. I was a bit impatient and enthused during my delivery wait, so some additional juices have already been ordered from a few vendors. Different N mgs.. and PV/VG mixes.. I figure I am going to be in an experimental phase for a while , if not indefinitely. LOL ..

Like cigars.. We are always looking for that "perfect" goto stick.. So the quest for the Goto "vape" will be a journey to enjoy.

As I sit here now.. I am looking at the 3.5ml tanks I bought , and trying to decide what I will put in one.
The holes at the bottom of the tank seem pretty small to deal with such a viscous liquid.. and I need to watch a few vids to learn the best way to fill them..

But no rush... I am very pleased right now with what I am already getting from this tool.

And who wants to open all your presents on Christmas day at once anyway !!

I will probably soak up one cartomizer with the "coffee" blend , and give that a try in the morning with my coffee beverage.

I can certainly see that if my Vit. N needs are met, There is no reason to ever pick up a regular cig again..
But , this is just day one. I will continue to hit this each time I feel the urge to light a cig.. and see how it goes.

I'll have a better idea of how I will fair with this new endevour when I am longing for that white nasty in the morning..

That will be a big test for me.

Hey vin, looks like you are having a lot of fun. My first package arrived yesterday and I am getting the feel for re-filling cartomizers and prac my vaping technique. How much better is vaping over smoking analogs!

Congratulations and welcome to the fold. I use the KGO with cartomizers, too, and love it. Thanks for such a detailed post about your experiences. I agree that it's much like pipe smokers looking for new blends to enjoy.

There's discussions in the Tips and Tricks subforum (you should be able to get there after five posts in this subforum) about using cheap devices to punch or enlarge the hole in cartos. I use that and haven't had a problem with juices up to 50/50 so far.

Self control is paramount.

My plan is to only vape when I feel the urge to smoke. That is the plan and I'm sticking to it..

Perhaps a little more then usual today, with the new toy.. But The real adventure starts tomorrow morning..

Mine just arrived today, as well...I plugged one into the charger, and couldn't help but try the other one out! I ordered 5 dual coils and 5 1.7 single coils. Loaded both of them up, and WOW! LOVE THIS!!!

OH MY GOSH!!! Now I really want to go out and order a whole bunch more stuff. I had to make myself slow down last week and now you have me all pumped and ready to go again. I'll be getting me some duel coils and a tank next. Then maybe a MOD battery.
