Ok. Could I mix water in it though? And is it bad to take burnt hits and dry hits. Is it harming me. Sorry I am very new

You can mix distilled water in with it.

Burnt/dry hits do harm you. If the coil/wick/VG is getting burnt, you'll inhale smoke much as you would with a cig. A little whiff won't do much harm, but if you keep inhaling it smoke does cause damage to your lungs and will make them hurt.

If you aren't getting dry hits, high VG can cause congestion in some people (like me). Congestion is not good - it's your lungs reacting because something is wrong (or in the case of autoimmune diseases, because they mistakenly think something is wrong.)

As to whether vaping can cause damage, that's a big question. We're not really meant to inhale things other than air, so it's better not to vape than to vape. However, all the evidence we have says it's far better to vape than to smoke.

Hi, I am very new to vaping. I have the eGo-t style vape pen and every time I do it for like 40 min I start to get headaches and my lungs hurt. I am worried because I am young and don't want to hurt myself. I vape pure vg (vegetable glycerine)100%. Plz help I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

If you even think it may be harmful then what is the point of continuing to do it? Almost all of us on the site are ex-smokers and vape because we don't want to smoke any more. You don't sound like that is your reason for vaping. We don't really know the long term effects of vaping yet, it is a bit of a crap shoot and we could loose. But we do know the long term effects of smoking so the gamble seems worth it.

How would you justify taking the risk of vaping? I'm not trying to come down hard on you but if this isn't for harm reduction then why do something that is making your lungs hurt?

Is there any burning or acrid taste or smell? You could be overheating the juice. Also, old style eGo vape pens, especially the top coil type, wick poorly with VG.

Previous heavy smokers sometimes complain of a "heavy lung" feeling from high VG, myself included. I don't use past about 55% VG.

For some reason there seems to be almost always an active thread concerning someone having health issues with a high VG unflavored vape. Usually they have a higher output device but that's the only difference. I suspect that unflavored is so unsatisfying that it is making matters worse somehow, perhaps increasing the tendency to run the devices hard, or maybe flavors have a more distinct effect when burned?

Then stop vaping- go see a doctor! Simple as that- why would you keep doing this if it seems like it is harming you?
I vape to keep from smoking cigarettes, while vaping is not 100% safe- it is at least 95% safer than smoking cigarettes!
I am not a doctor, but common sense would tell me that if vaping was giving me the same symptoms as you then I would quit doing it!

In all honesty, stop vaping if it hurts.

It is my belief that inhaling anything other than air (and even air in some cities) is likely to cause some level of harm.

Most of us here accept this as we see vaping as "harm reduction", ie vaping is far less harmful than smoking.

However, if you are not vaping in order to quit, then why do it? Especially if it is hurting you?

If your new it takes a week or two to get used to vaping. Try a little water or PG/VG 50/50 in an old ego. Max VG is really just for RDA's. Also if your chain vaping for 40 mins get more tanks so you can switch them in rotation to give them time to wick up again. VG shouldn't be harsh at all so if it is thats a dry hit for sure. Drink lots of water too.
