My Madvapes 801 box mod

I figured I would show my little box mod. I do not use 510 attys so I customized my box mod into an 801. I have some more stuff coming in the mail this week and I am going to try and create a new mod using the box mod and modifying it to have the GG AVSv3 attached to it.

This is my Prodigy V3.1 along with another image of it with my AVS attached to it.

yeah, I am worried my Prodigy is feeling jealous. I have been using the box mod for a day and a half testing battery life of the 14500's. I have 2 li-ions at 900mah and 1 IMR at 600mah. I am still trying to figure out the major difference of the 2 other than mah rating.

Battery chemistry. Also current output potential (greater on IMR). But that's not really a huge deal when using standard cartos/atties on a basic device.

I build box mods for my "local market". Everything from 3.7v to 5v regulated to passthroughs. People like them because they're cheap and just work.

I second that. I was a little hesitant at first because they look so big but now I am addicted to the feel.

Ya. That's why I still use them even though the 100g tactile switches look sleek. "Feel" is just as important as function.

I see your using the older big 801's have you tried the new Mini 2ohm and HV-801's that Iken sells, there all I pretty much use anymore and think there the best Attys going, the flavor and vapor from these blows away the old big 801's, if ya haven't tried them yet you gota run some of these bad boyz on your Mods. The 2ohm @ 4.2 is an awesome vape

I have 2 of them but I spoke with him about them. The 2 that I ordered from him were actually chiming in at around 2.4ohm so they were a little high for me. The LR801 attys I get from PS are right at 1.8-1.9 and so far have been my favorite. He said he would do a switch with me but I have not gotten around to it yet. Since I have so many large 801's in my inventory I figured I would use them up first. My next box mod I am going to recess the 801 connector inside the box to lower the profile of the mod. I am really interested in using the mini 801s on the AVS though.
What configuration are you using for 4.2? Using a regulator?

Very nice looking, clean build. I've not tried the green switches yet but it looks great.

Aren't those people down at Madvapes just the best? I've only ever had one wrong item sent, and they sent the correct one free! Awesome people.

Last 3.7v mod I build, I set the switch toward bottom, cut a 1/2" hole and recessed atty inside like a Janty stick. I'm going to try that with a 5v mod next If I can.

Ok, it is now finished. Just to wait for the glue to dry then it will be g2g. Already tested it and it performs perfectly. It is more stable than my last one also since it is recessed inside, feels better.
