Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this in. Not really a comprehensive review, but more of a few random thoughts about the eGo I just received.

I started vaping with a 510 a little over a week ago.

Some observations about the eGo vs the 510:

1. The 510 sits in my shirt pocket nicely, but it could fall out, and I probably wouldn't notice it gone...it's too light.
The eGo is heavier, a lot heavier, but not too big. If it were to fall out, I'd notice immediately. Plus, I can put it in my pants pocket without fear of breaking...it's built like a tank!

2. The 510 won't stand up. It has to be laid down on it's side. It can get lost on my messy desk or table, wherever.
The eGo sits straight up on it's end. Easier to notice amongst clutter and easier to grab. I can set it right next to my various bottles of e-juice, reducing the clutter.

3. The 510 atty gets a little too warm for me when I hit several times too quickly.
The eGo has a cone covering the atty. It hasn't even gotten warm on me yet.

4. The 510 has a pretty good TH & vapor with most of the juice I've tried.
The eGo TH and vapor is easily twice as much and 10x more consistent.

5. When I pickup the 510 to vape, I'm always having to check which end to stick in my mouth. Gets annoying really. I guess I should use colored carts, but I only have had the white ones till now, and my 510 is white.
The eGo is tapered and heavier on the battery end, so I'd have to be very mentally impaired for me to put the battery end in my mouth.

6. The 510 has that dumb LED on the battery end, so I end up looking at it a lot to see if the battery is crankin'.
The eGo has the LED in the switch. Much easier to see what the battery is doing. The LED glows under my thumb or finger.

7. The 510 doesn't fit in my hand like the eGo. I can't hold the 510 firmly in my fingers and still hit the switch. It's too close to the end of the battery.
The eGo's switch is about a 1/2in. farther back, right at the atty end, so my thumb hits it right on target every time.

So, the eGo is superior to the 510 in at least 7 ways to me, make that 8 if you count the battery charge life. No wonder it's so popular!

I'm sold!:vapor: However, I'm sure a mod is in my future. :p
If you're considering the 510 as your 1st e-cig, I'd seriously advise you to get an eGo from the git-go...if you like.

I started with Blu, which I returned for a refund. I then got ProSmoke, which was also total garbage and, after a major hassle, I returned it for a partial refund. (They charged me for their gross pre-filled cartridges and a ripoff "restocking fee."

Then I found this forum and got an eGo. No comparison! The eGo is absolutely awesome, in all respects.

Never tried the 510. Sounds like it's better than Blu or Prosmoke, but with my eGo I am happy as a clam!

I have a Silver Bullet, Precious L glossy, Screwdriver MKII, Missy's Wet Box,Joye 510, but always have my eGo on me when I'm farting around somewhere.

Great vapor, convenient, hits every-every time, batts last me a day.

The only thing on my Janty ego is the switch has fired on me a couple times when it was in my pants pocket and fried 2 attys. I think I would have felt the heat if the cone wasn't attached. The cone on the eGo does keep things fairly cool to the touch, but beware that you may not feel the thing firing in a pocket when it's attached.

DLite, sounds like you are right, the Hello is more efficient.

Anyone seen a good quality carrying case for the eGo kit? The one that came with mine is just ok, flimsy, but I'd like to have a hard case. Don't want to ruin an atty in my pocket.

My 2.00 walmart glasses sleeve with a belt hook ain't too shabby, but I want something to hold both eGo's, 4-5 carts and a couple of 10ml bottles that would fit in my back pocket.

I've heard flashlight belt holders are handy too.

I am very, VERY new to vaping. I have a prosmoke and so far have been really disappointed with the inconsistency of it. Sometimes the vapor is massive and very satisfying, the next hit produces next to nothing. An as far as they're "smart battery" life goes... if I'm using it for an extended period of time a fully charged battery lasts barely an hour. I've also returned 2 atomizers and bought a spare of my own before I finally got 2 that work. So now I'm looking to return everything and get at least SOME of my money back and I'm looking for something else. I keep hearing great things about the EGO. And this is the first I have heard of the hello 016. They sound very similar with the exception of the hello's battery life. So my questions are...which one do I get? What's the best website to order from? Are they really as consistent in vapor production and battery life as everyone is claiming them to be? That last question is very important because I read nothing, NOTHING but great, wonderful things about the prosmoke before buying it and I have been terribly disappointed with it. I could really use some un-bias advice here! thanks.

I have no financial interests in any e-cig, so I am totally unbiased. My first kit, the Blu, was a total disappointment, but at least they honored the full refund, no questions asked.

ProSmoke kept trying to simply send me more garbage for the garbage they initially sent me. You will need to be firm about getting even the partial refund. Just demand it using their RMA system.

I have a Joye eGo and I am very happy. I vape constantly and the battery lasts all day on a single charge, and I switch out for the freshly charged one in the evening. I don't know anything about the Hello 016. It might have a longer battery life, but more expensive. Frankly, I'm happy with the all day eGo.

If you want an eGo, I would highly recommend that you order your genuine Joye eGo kit from NicotineNirvana.com. Their REGULAR price for the dual kit is $74.99 delivered, but right now if you enter the coupon code ecfego10 the price is $67.49 DELIVERED.

Everything on the NicotineNirvana website is free shipping. I also highly recommend their US-made American Blend e-liquid, if you like real tobacco taste. I've ordered from NicotineNirvana 4 times. Always flawless customer service and FAST shipping.

Thanks a lot man! hey what about cartridge life? How many carts do you go through a day? The cart life of the prosmoke is the only thing I have been happy with.

ALSO what kind of cartridges does it use? I have a refill kit from johnson creek so I;'m looking to refill my own cartridges. I was curious if I should buy the blank carts from nirvana or if they are available elsewhere. I'm just looking for what type of model they are.

Well, I got tired of diddling with carts. I like cartomizers sometimes, but usually I direct drip using an drip tip. Drip 2-3 drops of liquid on the atomizer and vape. The taste is much cleaner, and brings out the real flavor of whatever liquid you are using.

I purchased mine from Vaporkings but the Nicotinenirvana price is better.

mine came with the option for dry or prefilled cartridges. I'm sure NN has the same offer. Just get the dry carts and juice yourself.

The battery on my 600 mah ego just crapped out as I am typing this. This is day two on the same batt-not bad for a 600 mah.

My eGo is great and gets me through the day with pure satisfaction. However, the only reason I don't bring my SB or precious to work is that I get in trouble from the fog bank that they both create-LOL!

I've been heavy vaping mine for the the last 6 hours and have yet to refill my cart. Prolly will soon though.

eGo and Hello use 510 carts & addys. It's basically just a larger capacity battery than the 510, plus the cone over the atty thing.

THAT is exactly what I am looking for. Plus I guess the price for empty carts at NN isn't bad at all. 20 empties for 14 bucks. hell ya can't complaint about that. I'm glad to hear that the battery life is what people say it is. The thing it a LOT bigger than what I am used to using (the prosmoke hanging out of my mouth right now as I type this) but I suppose that is the reason for the phenomenal battery life.

They are not as big as you may think. Before I purchased mine I too was a bit leary. When I received it I was pleasantly surprised.

It's a bit shorter and about the same circumference as a medium sharpie pen. It's also surprisingly light.

Sorry...but what is a cartomizer? And also when you talk about dripping. You say you just drip 2-3 drops directly on the atomizer and then vape. You just put an empty cart back over the atomizer and youre good to go like that?

Sorry, I really am very new to all this.
