I know its so far out cause the cheap price I paid for smoking in comparison. The default for the price for a pack was over $5 or $6 a pack. I paid $1.60. Then all the bum crap I bought trying to figure this out hurt too. On the other hand if I am doing DIY and using a carto tank should I have put $10 a week for upkeep? I know I will buy another tank and a few more battery's before 2020 so I thought $10 a week was a good round number, but my god men and woman. That is a real eye opener. Makes me want to cut the nic even faster and sell this thing off asap to recoup some cash.

Its snowballed for sure. Should have made a file to get the exact start up cost. I guessed $550. I feel like a sucker in a way. I am always good with money since I never have any but this is out of control. Note to provape. Some people just dont wana know how much they spent or how long the break even will take. This is why I am so picky and can seem like a crying baby at times. I want what I pay for. Someone is getting rich of me and my family that are missing out on other things due to my habit yet again.

I know its best to just do it rite asap and thats what I tried to do. Just didnt end up that way. I know I could have bought the pills and been done a lot cheaper. So if I knew anyone poor like I am (most everyone) I would not recommend ecigs. I love you all but the price of admission is killing me. K rant over.

Should I realistically lower the weekly upkeep and try again. If so then what should I put? *Reminder I put $10 a week. My smokes cost under $12 a week. Maybe I should wait till the learning curve is up and get a more precise weekly cost.

Not sure if this will help but The Provari should be your last need for a PV. Atty's are something totally different but there's a lot out there that works. DC Tanks work for me, simply bcuz I can use anything from a 1.7ohm Ressurector to a 3.5 Boge. When I want real flavor, I drip on a 306 or 901 with drip shield. Add variable voltage to the mix & a sweet spot can be found.

How long you been vaping? I smoked for 15 years and been vaping for 2+ years now ... And let me tell how good you will fell being off the cigarettes.... I started with a Provape1 using Joye LR 510 attys, My Provape1 is still good as new. My cost are about $40 a month, that includes e-liquid, atomizer, and battery costs... I dont like tanks, always been a direct driper... Man you got a Provari...Thats one of the best Mods out there, enjoy the thing.

I love vaping, beside the nicotine.. Its a new hobby.
My Juice... Innovapors Ultrapure, 100% VG 36mg nicotine....
My Atomizers...Genuine Joye 510s....LR and SR versions
My Mods... Provape1 and a SuperT Percise+ 18650.......... I now just need a Kick for it...
My charger.... A Pila
My Batteries..... AWs of course

The most important thing about vaping vs. smoking is the health benifits.... Now how much is that worth to you?

I been vaping for over 3 months and was a pack a day smoker for 15 years. I can take into account the fact that vape has made me more healthy and thats good. It helps me to cure my craving most of the time. Thats where it ends. My provari is about a week old and now they have a V-2 that will cost me yet more money and time to send in and change to a v2. Im so mad I can see myself selling it but now I have a hit in resell value.

To add to the annoyance I bought a tank and it came with a ml sample of juice. Come to find out that juice will crack my tank. The 1ml did not crack it but just three days ago I ordered some of that juice cause I like it. Just cant vape it now.

So I called the clinic and $35 will get me a prescription for chantix but the cost of that would be almost $400 more for the 2 months. So now with the lower resale of the v1 it wouldn't cover the first month. This has me pretty hot under the collar cause the pill would have been the way to go had I not got involved in the vape. My wife is now ...... off cause she wants me to quit the vape to take the loss and get the pills. Im trying to talk her out of being mad at me. Im pretty good at that. I guess my new quest is to find the carto tank that will not break, and vapes like a water pipe.

Be careful with that Chantix. It is an amazing, powerful drug, but also comes with some heavy consequences for some. After taking it for 2 weeks I started putting out cigarettes 2 drags in. Kicked them completely that week. A few days later, sitting in my car seriously considering suicide with no real reason. Do not take the listed side effects lightly. Best of luck man.

Consider buying larger bottles of juice or maybe even read up on DIY and make your own. Order attys in multiples too to feel a bit of a cost cut. Since you have a Provari, I would say that you won't be needing a new PV for a while. Don't stop the vaping, just try to be more frugal about it. You could realistically cut your vaping costs down to less than $30 a month or even less, which is still less expensive than the $48 you spend smoking. The health benefits will outweigh the cons, both physically an financially in the long run. the one thing I can see that skews your overall cost figure is the purchase of the Provari, so just leave that out of the equation for now an just calculate maintenance (juice, attys, batteries, etc) costs. Also go to the PIF Treasure Chest thread here on ECF ( http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...pif-group-treasure-chest-revised-edition.html ) and respond to one of the great offerings that some of the generous folks here on ECF are willing to give out for free. This will be a great way to stock up on some juices without it affecting your wallet.

First off, don't bother upgrading your Provari. I got mine two weeks before the V2 was announced, and it doesn't bother me at all that I have the lower-limit model. I use Boge 2 and 3 ohm cartos, and never need the increased amp limit. Stick with 3 ohm and you can vape all the way up to 6V for 12 watts of power, more than you (should) ever need.

Second, as NJDev points out, the pills are not without side effects, and don't work for everyone. I have second-hand experience with a friend who had wild thoughts while on the pills, and very seriously considered hurting herself and her children.

I took it before and quit only I didnt have insurance then either so I only got a months worth and didnt finish it. Thought I could do it on my own. I hate taking any pill, really. The only side effect was the heart racing dreams it gave me. I liked that though. Was like I lived in a horror flick.

That pay it forward deal is good info. I posted a free mini that I wont be able to use anymore. :D. I do DIY. Its costing me almost double though cause my dad uses some too. I dont mind that and he is winding down with his nic also and wants to quit. He actually took some 0mg nic this time along with the others I mixed up for him at 12mg. I put $10 a week so do u think it should be lower then that? I have to buy cartos and juice till the battery's die. My found some carto's for $4.99 a 5 pack but they are OOS. Oh and I just pulled the trigger on an arry tank from svc. Thats my last big buy. From what everyone says though it should last but for a o-ring replacement every now and then.

Pay $20 to upgrade V2, u can ask the CS.:vapor:
No way. I just bought this. I bet it was in the mail when word got out. Not happy about that and willing to give more money. Nope. Dont think provape will get another penny from me. Its one thing to give people a choice till old stock runs out. But to make people feel cheated and still ask for more money is ridiculous. Its not a year old. More like 10 days or less. The V2 is even the same price as the v1. Im done. I knew I should have waited for a Darwin.

Good of you for helping your dad, Did you subtract from your monthly costs what you give away.

Sorry you feel cheated on the V1 V2 deal but new models and upgrades are always coming out on everything, I traded in my old van for a new car just before cash for clunkers dangit figure I could have got atleast another $1500 on that one.
Just got my V2 a week or so ago and then they went and came out with a mini, glad I didnt wait for the latest and greatest maybe next year I will buy another new car or should I wait until the model year after that and see what the car dealers have then.

Thanks. Being a new dad, I am learning that we have things that we just morally have to give up. Smoking was one of them things.

The car thing is not a good example though cause we know every year a new one will come out. As well as diff models so we have that choice before hand.
