I just ordered a few 18mg from mount baker Vapor just to try out. It also gives me a chance to see what a 50/50 blend of PG VG is like too. I believe the ones I got from DFW are all PG. I'm so excited to try all of them :D

PG/VG experimenting is another slippery slope. My PG went from 100, to 80, to 50 and now I'm settling on max VG. It was a surprise, because usually I am not sensitive to substances that others may not be. (Long rock bottom story)

It's already hard for me to imagine that I enjoyed high PG in the beginning. It was because I had no way of knowing yet how much more suitable higher VG was for me.

I hope you enjoy the 50/50 and if you find you like it more, maybe even go higher VG next time.

I think you've made great choices on gear and nic.
Good luck!

Everyone's different, clearly - some people have irresistible urges to go back to a cigarette, regardless of the nicotine level. Not me - I wasn't even TRYING to quit cigarettes, I just "gave vaping a try" and realized within a few days that it tasted WAY better, and cigarettes were tasting worse and worse. So I stopped smoking.

I used 24 mg, after smoking 1.5 packs a day for a loooong time.
After a few months, I started buying some juice at 18 mg, and I just vape whatever flavor I feel like without stopping to see whether it's 18 or 24. That easy. Eventually, I suppose I'll drop lower.

I hope it's as easy for you!

Just in case any of you are wondering what type of setup I decided to start with I'll post that too.
Halo triton tank with the 650 mah battery (it comes with two clearomizers)
And I picked 5-6 eliquids from DFW vapors at 24mg strength.

Im surprised no one said this yet, you definitely need one or two more batteries at that size. A 650 mah won't get throught a day or regular or heavy vaping. My 1100 mah twist gets me through till evening and i swap out my spare. Waiting for a battery to charge would be torture if your jonsing for nic.

good luck! you can do it! quitting with ecigs is a whole new ball game.

There's no rule that says you have to stick with the same mg level all day long. You might start off with 24mg, then switch to something (much) lower when you fell you've had enough nic but you still feel like puffing away. The go back to your higher level if you start feeling the itch for a cig.

I've switched between 18mg, 12mg, 9mg and 6mg today.

I do the exact same thing. I order my more tobacco-ey flavors in high nic, for those tough times and I order the more gourmet in lower nic levels and switch them out throughout the day. I have one vape that I really like that is a middle nic level for me that works ok for those stressful times as well as for vaping throughout the day. In my mind I have a strategy for the various nic levels matched up with the various flavors I have. I started out with all 24 mg though and I was about the same smoker as you it seems like and it was right for me. From there, I started order the lower nic levels. It's only been a month and a half and the highest nic I smoke occasionally already is 18mg. Usually I'm vaping 6-12mg and I'm pretty proud of that! :) Like everyone has mentioned though, we're all different and whatever it takes for you to quit, I hope that you find what works!!

good idea beginning with 24mg/ml However there are more to think than that, you have to find right mix of PG/VG or whether you are allergic to PG or VG assuming you are not you get vegetable gliserin to add on your liquid if it is too strong for you. Beginning is hard for some people because it is hard to find right liquid. You had better get a tester set to choose your juice
