I'm only a little over a week into vaping and MY GOD I LOVE THIS. I've not touched an analog since I started vaping, but this is more than quitting smoking for me.

That being said, I'm wondering what my next step should be.

I started with some Ego Twists and T3 and Evod Clearos.
I have Kanger Protanks (both 1 and 2) on their way to me in the mail.

I'm obviously happy with my Twists, but wondering if I can take this to another level?

I know the ProVari is popular.. I also see that it's expensive.

Do I go for something in between in the meantime, or just splurge and go for a ProVari sometime in the near future?

Why wait ? You will buy it eventually. You will love it.

Add a good quality carto tank and you will be set..........but use the protanks for a while before getting the carto tank so you will really appreciate the flavor of a carto IMHO.....

LOL that kind of what I was figuring, but buying the top model so quickly seemed.. excessive? Lol, you're right though. If you're going to be a bear, be a Grizzly.

Now I just gotta figure out what a cart tank is. LOL. I thought I had cartos vs tanks understood, but it seems I do not!

This is one of Baditudes Blogs...he is like one of the Carto Guru's among other things...

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

Look at this when you have time. I went from the Clearomizers to Vivi nova to evods to Protanks/Protank 2...( I do like the Protanks out of all of these) then I recently discovered a QUALITY Cartomizer tank/set up and the taste is just superior. And its really convenient. ( I bought an IBTanked set up )

The Protanks are very convenient and work well also ( you just need to clean the head/coil every day or two...keep them in rotation and its easy and quick to do.... I prefer to run these at about 3.4 to 3.7 volts.

Read through that Blog sometime...good info. The taste is really superior.

Almost as good as a dripping atomizer... but that is a story for a different day.

I do have a drip setup for testing flavors.. I figured that much out (well not really, everyone here helped me).

what kinds of features are you looking for in an advanced pv? if the provari is the endgame i'd just buy it. its going to be the last pv you'll ever need. it will handle cartomizers, atomizers, rebuildable atomizers (dripper and genesis). its sturdy like a tank, always works, vapes the actual voltage you set, battery check, ohms resistance check, and will last forever when its regularly maintained (cleaning contacts).

you will absolutely not be disappointed. if anything it will plunge you deeper into the vape side. >:)

Hahah I guess all of that! I really just want the "ultimate experience" and I like that it will kinda of just work with whatever I want!
While I have not yet procured all of the best of the best, and I have a lot to learn (want to know all about rebuilding) I think I'm already in pretty deep, considering! It's just a matter of how much money I spend at once!

Ive read a few times in these forums that the RSST is the best beginner dripping atomizer for rebuilding. You may want to check that out.

P.S. I know this seems like a stupid/illogical statement, but the Provari actually brings out more taste when I use it compared to a few other mods I have.

Heh, RSST is actually a RBA (rebuildable atomizer). It's got a tank, not for dripping. Most folks recommend IGO-L for RDA's. I will be buying one myself soon. For now, I'm using the Phoenix v4 (mini RDA) from Fasttech, w/ the airhole drilled to 1.35mm.

I have an IGO-W arriving tomorrow. Very excited. I went the mech route myself. To each his own. I got a Puresmoker Legacy with an Evolv Kick and by the time I buy myself another Kick and a replacement switch, flat top adapter and enough springs and contact screws to last through Vapegeddon I will have spent smore than the cost of a new Provari, so I agree, save your Quatloos and go for it.

I like the v4 so far. All stainless, small form factor. Overdrilled, has nice VTF. Might go a little bigger still though. Topcap's "O" rings hold TIGHT!

You shoulda got the full blue or purple 18350 hybrid one for $33.45! (This way, you could tell me if it was worth it! LOL)

Ok, I'm gonna be "that guy" for a second here.

I would personally recommend looking into mechanical mods and RDAs. They're not as complicated as most people assume and they're WELL worth the research. The RDA will give you better flavor and the mech mods allow for more freedom when it comes to wattage (assuming you've done your battery amp limit research, of course). As far as RDA's go, I'm a huge fan of the IGO-W. Inexpensive and the 3 posts allows for easy dual-coiling :)

However, I know mech mods aren't everyones thing. The ProVari is of course an incredible PV. Arguably the best. But if you're looking for the next step up that is not as expensive but works better than a twist, try looking into something like the Vamo V3. I personally bought an eVic while my friends got Vamos. Their Vamos fired faster than my eVic and required far less maintenance (software update, etc). They also felt VERY sturdy and even though most of my friends have moved onto mech mods, they still use their Vamos as their "ol' reliable".

This is all anecdotal of course. I'd look into the general consensus as far as the quality of the Vamo V3 is concerned.

But seriously you'll MOST LIKELY move onto mechanical mods at some point, I'd recommend the K100 as your first one along with any RDA ok I'm done :x

The Provari will outlast all of the chinese vv/vw mods.So if you count the money wasted on broken vamos and such, buying the pro will save money in the long run. I have literally abused my provari and it still works like a champ. It's looking ugly now, but works.

Buy a used one from the classifieds on here, you can find great deals. Trust me, if you buy one that comes pre scratched you'll cry less when you scratch it for the first time. I was soo ...... when I dropped my beautiful provari on concrete the first dozen times. Lol.
