I had a Vamo and went with an Evic after that, but i want a mech too. Mechs can be had pretty cheap, so you may opt to just dive in who knows. The Evic is a fun toy though if youre into gadgets!

yea most people will say just get a provare, i own a mini and it doesn't impress me that much, the menu is sluggishly slow, it works alright. but not worth the $180 imho. Now that im into mech's the provare along with the others are just dust collecting backups.

+1 for a nice mechanical mod, you don't have to spend too much to enjoy a great vape.

I love the provari crowd ALWAYS ignoring the 3 amp vs 5 amp issue. It's ALL about the amps.
I'd look for any positive too if I dropped that much on one device.

OP...mech mod and rba...skip that VAMO. I DO have one, and they do move heavy vapor, but the future is below 1 ohm and mech's.

Get both. Provari's for your VV needs

Collect mechs for rbas and rdas.

Got some pics? Can't say I've seen many actual owners not impressed.

I think the Vamo is something you cannot go wrong with. I have one myself and am very satisfied. It is more interchangeable with battery configurations. It does the job and then some. I have also been looking for an upgrade as well, and I was thinking a ZMAX mini or something along those lines. Vamo is doing it for me and if I have one complaint about the Vamo, it can be a little laggy and I also don't like how with an 18650 or two 18350's the device is long as can be. It towers over other mods with the same battery configuration. I would honestly recommend some type of ZMAX or something of that nature, maybe a Sigeli??

I have a VAMO and quite like it; It's big and heavy though. The Provari looks nicer and is smaller (especially with a single 18350).

The the main (and only) problem I have with a provari is that it only does variable voltage, no variable wattage options (also a slightly lower amp rating). The smoother DC waveform VS PWM is definitely a great thing with the provari but without VW is has less options than a vamo.

I'm not sure if a VW kick is DC or PWM but a kick and a mechanical mod seems like a nice option if you need VW and a snazzy looking mod.

So what makes a mech so great? That seems totally opposite of the VV/VW to control the perfect vape with less worry about resistance.

If you like to tinker and make your own coils + wicks a mech is the way to go.

No amp limit at all, u can vape a 0.3 ohms resistance atty or tank at 3.7 volts. Now that is HAMMERTIME! No limit holding down your switch if u want a long hit. No wires inside to break.

I liked the Vamo V2...especially for its pricepoint

Mechs? I like them.....I'm using one in my rotation daily....The Segelei #8 is my go to mech, the K100 and Chinese GG are dust collectors......like a solid mod moreso then telescoping, and the #8 hits harder....its built better

Provari? No crappy PWM.....more consistent hits, where u set the voltage is the consistent voltage u get...no DOUBLING the volts + turn off twice per second.....less noise vaping...and 2 yrs from now? I can get my money back or 90% of it.

I don't own a mech, but I've been reading about them, starting to get an itch to get one. The big thing that makes them "great" as far as function is that you can pretty much have any range of output you want. I've read of some people pushing up to 25w on mechs with RBAs. Coming from a VAMO that sounds insane to me, but you can produce completely insane clouds of vapor like that.

As far as "opposite of the VV/VW to control", that's what a "Kick" is for. It's a small device that sits on top of a battery that basically turns it into a VW (set it once and forget it kinda thing).

I think the other appeal of mechanical mods is that some of them really are beautifully crafted, and there's the ease at which the user can repair them, and generally how robust they are. Most will argue that they should have no wires, and definitely no PCBs, some even remove springs. Generally the only moving part is the switch. This level of low-tech makes them very easy to maintain.
