My nico stick wont work

Hey guys this is my first ever mod. I got it all put together and the LED lights up when the button is pressed, but soon as i screw in an atty it all turns off heres a couple pics. it goes positive from the on/off switch, to the switch, then resistor to the LED to the positive wire to the center of the 510 battery connector. Then the negative LED to the outside of the batt connector, soldered to the negative wire. bleh i suck at soldering right now, so please bare with me

It almost sounds like the resistor is in line between the positive battery power and the positive atty terminal. The power should go to your push button switch and then directly to the atty terminal with no resistor in between. The resistor is only used for the LED.

If I read your post wrong and you have wired it correctly, I stand corrected.

Here's the pic lightened up a bit, Shortstuff I think you hit it right. Looks like it comes out of the switch to the resistor, then to the LED/connector. It also looks like both legs of the LED are touching.

Kody, take the wire that is going to the center of the connector & solder the other end to the switch. You should have the wire to the center of the connector & the resistor soldered to the switch. Make sure the LED legs aren't touching. It looks like your grounds are ok.
