I absolutely vape more than I smoked. That is because I vape inside my apartment, and I wouldn't smoke inside due to the stinkiness factor. I vape at my desk at work, and yet I always had to go outside to smoke when I was at work. Etc, etc.
The flavors are really the reason for me, though. This evening, I was at a farmer's market, walking around enjoying myself shopping, and it wasn't until I'd left and gotten in the car that I realized that I hadn't vaped significantly in a two hour period -- I think I had, total, five hits off one of my PVs, and that was shortly after I'd arrived. I simply forgot to vape, because I had alternatives to the yummy flavors, and my body was content with the nicotine level I had, and so I plumb forgot. It's taken a little while to get to that point, but my best advice is vape when you want when you start, listen to your body, adjust your nicotine level freely (by keeping some higher-nicotine liquids and some lower to no nicotine liquids on hand), and let time settle you out. By comparison to when I started vaping, I've barely vaped today -- at first, I was easily going through 4-5ml a day, and today, it's probably been more like 1-2ml.
