IMO carts are the epic fail of vaping. Noobs destroy more atties by using cartridges than any other way. I think manufacturers/distributors actually do people a disservice by putting atties & carts in starter kits instead of a box of cartos.
As a fairly new vaper i totally agree with this. At the moment i'm using low resistance smoktech cartomisers and occasionally dripping onto a LR 510 atty, and generally having a nice vaping experience. However i feel this is more down to my own persitence than anything else.
My first kit was bought off amazon and was really cheap. the battery life was terrible and i would get around 4-5 drags out of the carts that claimed they were the equivellent of 10 regular cigarettes. They did the trick while they lasted and prompted me to watch a few reviews which led me to get a 510 kit that came with two 510 battery's, an attomiser, and 5 carts. the first week with this kit was nothing short of hellish, battery life was ok but i still found myself waiting for batterys to charge before i could 'try' to vape again, i stress the word 'try' because as soon as the battery finished charging i would usually procede to spend the next 40 mins draining the damn thing flooding the atomiser or just trying to get the carts to wick. In all honesty i probably should have given up there and then and i know a lot of people would have, but i'm glad i didn't.
The sad thing about it is, all this could have been avoided if the so called 'starter kits' were actually sold with the aim of getting new vapers to have the easiest experience possible, cartridges in my experience are the most pain in the ... method of vaping i have come across and yet this is what most of the starter kits come with, it makes no sense.
