I bought a PCC a month ago from another seller (before steve started selling them, by a week) and it died. If I had purchased it from V4L, I'd have a new one in the mail right now. Some lessons are only learned the hard way.

I feel for ya buddy, that is exactly why I warrantee the way I do, these things are made crazy, some are workhorses, some suck, and everywhere inbetween. With our V4L warrantee, does not matter, we want you to vape-Not smoke. We replace it all:D

I will take care of you on your next order, my friend:p.

i love this pcc this thing comes in handy alot
.....good stuff smilin

Batteries tend to discharge a little over time. When i go out or to work. I take a charged battery and put it in the PCC charging. you'll notice that the pcc comes on a moment then assumes the standby position as the battery is charged already (fresh off charger)...if you watch it a while, in 30 min or an hour, it comes on charges for 4 min or less then popps back into standby. This keeps your battery fresh and ready for use, and hardly depletes the charging case at all. Once your carry-battery is depleted, you have a topped off ready to rock battery fresh as can be ..and you have a virtually full PCC to charge that dead sucker.

It's a pretty darn nifty gizmo. I think I'll make an instructional video for it later for the new folks. I really enjoy mine.

i dont mean before you have to recharge. I mean total life. Before you have to replace it.

the chinese sites who sell offbreed (they look identical) PCCs occasionally list 200 recharges for the PCC.

I think they really dont know and just copy that over from the batteries.

I expect that recharge life from depleted to full cycles...youre lookin at a minimum of that. they use batteries more like a cell phone than an e-cig, and its a far better and more efficient design..because it can be square and flat instead of round.

If i had to call it and put money on it, i'd guess between 400 and 800 cycles and probably closer to the 1000 you get out of most cell phones.

Lithium ion batteries normally last 300-500 full charges. That's from completely discharged to full. If you charge it when it is only 50% discharged that only counts as a half a charge. It is better to charge more often than fully discharging it before charging again. Lithium ion batteries do not suffer from the same memory problem that NiCads do.

I dont know if this is a bad thing, I dont know if my middle led in my PCC is even working. I use it very similar to the way kc0cmp does in swapping batteries but I charge the PCC every night using a wall unit/ usb adapter. I dont think I have ever seen the middle led come on. Is this a bad thing? Am I shortening the life of my PCC. As most of you, I dont know what I would do without it. (Ok, i know what I would do but I wont be happy about it)

rho,

Check my previous post, the one just before yours for a longer explanation. You are not hurting your PCC by charging it every night.

My pcc is the one shown on the V4L site, it only has two lights (on the device itself) A top one which indicates charging (red) and charged (green)...a combo LED which changes colors...

the bottom light is solid red (charging battery) or pips (blinks) when battery charge is complete

I have no third light :( i feel so...shortchanged on lights..lol.

I think somehow you have a different KR808D-1/VK PCC...or its for a different device, like a 510 or something?

Yes, my PCC is for a 510. I believe the middle led on mine is supposed to turn yellow when it needs to be charged.

Yes that would explain it. I got fed up with my 510 before i bought a PCC for it, so I honestly do not know what the lights do on it. Definately have to pass this ball to someone who is familliar with 510 accessories.
